Opportunity
Now to the Lord a noble song!
Awake, my soul; awake, my tongue!
Hosanna to His Holy Name
And all His boundless love proclaim.
His glory shines in Jesus’ face
The brightest image of His grace!
God, in the Person of His Son
Has all His greatest works outdone.
The spacious earth and spreading flood
Proclaim the wise, the mighty God
And His rich glories from afar
Sparkle in every rolling star.
But in our Lord a glory stands
The noblest labor of His hands
The love and mercy in His eyes
Outshines the wonders of the skies!
Grace! ‘Tis a sweet, a charming theme
My thoughts rejoice at Jesus’ Name
Ye angels dwell upon the sound
Ye heavens reflect it to the ground!

OPPORTUNITY
We have all heard the phrase, “opportunity knocks,” or “a door is opened.” In the grave there will be no more opportunity. As we have opportunity, Paul says, “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith” (Galatians 6:10). How do men feel when they are around me? Loved, cared about, and valued? Or do they feel judged, criticized, and that they really have no value to me.
Have men benefited by being around me or are they discouraged and belittled by being around me. We only have a short time. Paul said to both the Ephesians and the Colossians, “Redeem the time, to do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith,” the members of our true family. If we have done a poor job of this up to this time, we still have this opportunity…. “To do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”
