What a Marvelous Way is This of The Healing of Our Souls

" With His stripes we are healed." -Isaiah 53:5 [KJV] A great professor once said to me, “I can never conceive how one man can be made righteous, by the righteousness of another.” Thus his carnal reason led him to object against Christ’s righteousness being imputed to us . I replied, Why then do you profess to believe, that your sins can be washed away by the blood of another? He was silent. “Without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness.”   Too great a mystery for human reason to comprehend: but not too great for divine faith to receive, to the joy of godliness. Sin is a malignant and mortal disease. The soul must die eternally of it, unless healed. This healing the soul, is the pardoning of sin. This is obtained by the stripes of Christ. You feel the evil of sin; you mourn over the guilt of sin; you groan under the burden of indwelling sin, from day to day.  The Spirit of truth, the Comforter , here holds forth a blessed remedy for you to look to, f

ACCORDING TO FREEWILLISM

According to proponents of man’s “free will” in salvation, God cannot save sinners in the present day unless they let Him do so. According to their logic, neither will God condemn sinners at the final day unless they let Him do so.      According to their doctrine, sinners are sovereign, and God is what they let Him be.   – preacher Daniel Parks

Righteous in Christ JESUS!

“The righteous shall be glad in the LORD and shall trust in Him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.” -Psalm 64:10 [KJV] In what way is a man made righteous before God? I answer, he is not made so by any good works proceeding from himself nor by his prayers, duties nor obedience, nor by his faith nor love to the LORD. God has made him righteous in His own Way and He has revealed it in the WORD of His Grace.  There we find that He has, in sovereign Mercy and discriminating Grace, imputed to and laid upon the Beloved Surety, all the sin and transgression of His chosen inheritance, He transferred to them all the obedience, righteousness and holiness of His Beloved Son, placing it to their account as their justification and here it is that they are exclusively righteous before God.  “Of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, Who of God is made unto us wisdom, righteousness and sanctification and redemption”   (1st Corinthians 1:30.) So nothing belonging to the poor soul can be hi

ASSURANCE OF A PERFECT GLORIFICATION OF EVERY BELIEVER

"Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification."   Christ did not only rise for Himself, but for His members, and their justification, Romans 4:25 , and therefore for their resurrection ; for there is no reason death, the punishment, should remain, if guilt, the meritorious cause of it, be removed. He rose for our justification declaratively, i.e. His resurrection was a declaration of our fundamental justification, BECAUSE JUSTICE WAS THEREBY DECLARED TO BE SATISFIED, which would else have shut us in the grave, and locked the chains of death for ever upon us.  It is by this, the first step of his entrance into glory, WE HAVE AN ASSURANCE that the graves shall open, bodies stand up, and death be swallowed up in victory. HENCE ARISETH AN ASSURANCE OF A PERFECT GLORIFICATION OF EVERY BELIEVER. The heavens receive him till, and therefore in order to, 'the restitution of all things , ' Acts 3:21 , the full restoration of all t
