All Glory to God For Ever and Ever!

"Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name this is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: and hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him that filleth all in all." -EPHESIANS 1:21-23 [KJV] The LORD JESUS CHRIST be magnified!

Gratitude & Thanksgiving unto Almighty God

If you wish to be thankful, get a heart deeply humbled with the sense of your own vileness. A broken heart is the best pipe to sound forth God’s praise. He who studies his sins, wonders that he has anything, and that God should shine on such a dunghill: for I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man—but I was shown mercy [see I TIMOTHY 1:13 ] ! How thankful Paul was! How he trumpeted forth free grace! A proud man will never be thankful. He looks on all his mercies as either of his own procuring or deserving. If he has an estate, this he got by his wits and industry; not considering that scripture, “But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is He that giveth thee pow er to get wealth ” [DEUTERONOMY 8:18 ] . Pride stops the current of gratitude. O Christian, think of your unworthiness; see yourself as the least of saints, and the chief of sinners—and then you will be thankful. - Gospel report by preacher Thomas Watson (1620 – 1686 A.D.)

True Love to Christ

“ The L ORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an ever-lasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee .” - JEREMIAH 31:3 [KJV] The Lord Jesus possesses all kinds of lovelinesses compacted into one perfect loveliness! all perfections blended to make one perfection! every sweet concocted and distilled to make one perfect sweetness! Oh, how one longs for but a moment’s sight of Christ in glory! One might be content to have only a dry crust, and to lie in an underground dungeon for the rest of one's life, if one might but gaze on His blessed face for once, and hear Him say, “I have loved thee with an everlasting love.” Those who truly love the Savior wish to know all that can be known about Him. True love likes to become familiar with the object of its affection; its heart is set upon that object, it studies it, and can never know it too well or too closely. True love to Christ thinks of Him from morning till night; it

Our Hearts Fixed Upon Jesus

"In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world ." -J OHN 16:33 [KJV]   Has not our path been one of tribulation, more or less, since the Lord was first pleased to turn our feet into the narrow way? But have we found, do we ever find, peace in Jesus? Do we desire to find peace there? Do we look for peace, do we expect to enjoy peace, from any other quarter? Dare we think, for a single moment, of peace in self, peace in the world, or peace in sin? Is our heart so fixed upon Jesus, our eyes so up unto Him, the desires of our soul so after the manifestations of His mercy and love, that we are sure there is no peace worth the name except what is found in Him? Our seasons of peace may not have been long—they may have been transient, very transient; yet sweet while they lasted, and sufficient to shew what true peace is, sufficient to give us longings after a clearer manifestation of it, and make us desire a fuller enjoyment
