Great Encouragement in Christ Jesus our LORD

How God Got Rid of Our Sins D. G. Miles McKee   The gospel is wonderfully simple. It is the good news of the doing, dying and rising again of the God/Man. This gospel work was and is both finished and successful. As proof of this, we have, at this very moment, a glorified S aviour seated in the place of cosmic authority [HEBREWS 10:12 ] . So, let’s ask, how does God get rid of the believer’s sins? To answer this question, the Lord has taken great pains, in His Word, to show how completely He has done this. Watch how He employs word pictures that are so easily understood. For example, (1) in Psalm 103:12, we read, "As far as the east is from the west, so far ha th H e removed our transgressions from us.” Where is the East? Where is the West? No matter where we are on the globe there is always an east and a west. But who can tell us their actual location? If we begin traveling west, we will still be westward bound after many days of journey.  Similarly, i
"... b ut be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind." - ROMANS 12:2 b [KJV] As worldly conformity is subdued and departed from, there is the transforming process of which the Apostle here speaks, whereby we become renewed in the spirit of our mind. In other words, the Holy Spirit, by His work upon the soul, renews the life of God, revives faith, hope, love, prayer, praise, spirituality of mind, with every tender feeling and every godly sensation that stirs and moves in a living heart. As, then, the Spirit of God renews His work upon the heart, he brings us out of this worldly conformity. He discovers to us the evil of it; He makes and keeps the conscience tender and sensitive; He shews us that if we get conformed to the world we lose our evidences; that they become dulled and obscured; that we are soon deprived of communion with God, of comfortable access to our best, our heavenly Friend; that our taste and appetite for spiritual things get palled; and th

The Simplicity and Singularity of the Gospel

“There is a magnificent simplicity and singularity in the gospel. How merciful is our God to take such wondrous things and bring them to a succinct point, thereby making misunderstanding an impossibility. There is one way, one truth, one life, one faith, one Lord, one baptism. A person cannot claim he does not understand; he can only admit that he does not believe.” -Gospel report by preacher Tim James Sequoyah Sovereign Grace Baptist church of Cherokee, North Carolina USA Please find enclosed link to Audio Gospel Sermons & Contact Info: https://www.sermonaudio.com/source_detail.asp?sourceid=sequoyah
