GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST!

Unto the Lord my God I trace, That I am saved by sovereign grace; ‘Tis with a sense of sin I see, Naught else but grace could set me free. ‘Twas grace which e’er the world was made, Ordained my debt of sin be paid; What lovingkindness then was shown, God chose me out to be His own. Behold amazing, wondrous grace, Christ Jesus came and took my place; With Him the Father was well-pleased, His bloody death God’s wrath appeased. Grace reigns through righteousness alone, For Jesus suffered grief unknown; The law was fully satisfied, When for our sins He bled and died. Ascended high upon His throne, Christ reigns in glory all His own; By His resistless quick’ning grace, By faith I now the Son embrace. So this my song of songs shall be, I’m saved by grace so rich and free; Soon I shall see my Savior’s face, And praise Him for His sovereign grace. -TUNE TO "SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER" LM/DOUBLE WORDS BY JIM BYRD

Holy, Merciful & Gracious Mighty God!

"For Thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto them that call upon Thee." -Psalm 86:5 [KJV]   The sinner who has saving faith believes that there is a fullness of salvation in Christ for poor sinners "Wherefore HE is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by HIM..." (Hebrews 7:25). In the word of the Gospel Christ is held forth as an able Saviour - able to save men from their sins and from the wrath of God. His merit is a sufficient shield against the tempest of wrath which incensed justice is ready to exact against transgressors. The sinner who has saving faith knows that the righteousness Christ fulfilled as the condition of the Covenant of Grace is so valuable in itself, and in the eyes of the Father, that it is sufficient to procure justification, sanctification, and all other saving benefits to sinners who in themselves deserve death and damnation. So they are happy who are in Him. They shall never perish but h...

Amazing Grace

" Unto the Lord this sinner owed A debt I could not pay; My sins were such an awful load, But Christ put them away. His blood has washed away my shame, And satisfaction made; O bless the dear Redeemer’s name, My ransom price is paid. Salvation unto Christ I owe, O what a gracious Friend; He washed and made me white as snow, On Him my hopes depend. Someday in heav’n I’ll sing His praise, With all the ransomed throng; And joyfully my voice I’ll raise, To sing redemption’s song." -Tune: "Amazing Grace"
