MY STANDING IN CHRIST

“ There is not a just man upon the earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.” - ECCLESIASTES 7:20 [KJV] The word “ just” means righteous. While the Lord’s people are righteous in Christ, yet not even a justified person “ doeth good and sinneth not.” All believers realize our sinfulness, therefore we ask for fresh supplies of pardoning grace [I JOHN 1:9 ] . While the reality of our wretchedness is ever before us, we rejoice in the deliverance of sin by the sacrifice of Christ which is the sole basis upon which God remains just and justifies the ungodly. It is painfully true that, “ in me (that is, in my flesh) dwelleth no good thing” [ROMANS 7:18 ] and therefore nothing good can come forth from me. However, it is also wonderfully true that I am accepted and declared to be the righteousness of God in Christ [II CORINTHIANS 5:21 ] . As my sins were imputed to Him so His righteousness has been imputed to me. I still mourn my sins, but I must not sink into

CHRIST IS ALL WE NEED!

There are two vital things the Holy Spirit reveals to all whom He brings to faith in Christ Jesus. 1). He will reveal our NEED OF CHRIST! "I need Thee, precious Jesus, for I am full of sin, My soul is dark and gloomy, My heart is dead within; I need the cleansing fountain, where I can always flee, The blood of Christ most precious, The sinner's perfect plea." 2). He will reveal that CHRIST IS ALL WE NEED! "In Him dwelleth all the fulness of the G odhead bodily, and ye are COMPLETE in Him" [COLOSSIANS 2:9-10a ] . He, of God, is made unto me all I need. The more quickly we learn that Christ is, indeed, ALL we need to make us righteous and accepted before God the Father, the sooner we'll enjoy the rest, peace and assurance promised to His own. Most of God's elect are brought to Christ earlier in life than the dying thief, but all are redeemed and made righteous EXACTLY AS HE WAS - by the free grace of God, plus nothing, minus nothing.

Encouragement in Christ Jesus

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to H is purpose." -R OMANS 8:28 [KJV] To look at all our varied circumstances; and then to believe that if we are the lovers of God, all things we experience are working together for our spiritual good, what a view does it give us of the wisdom, grace, and power of a wonder-working God! And we are to measure this good, not by what the creature thinks, but by what God Himself has declared to be good in His word, and what we have felt to be good in our soul's experience. Have your trials humbled you, made you meek and lowly? They have done you good. Have they stirred up a spirit of prayer in your bosom, made you sigh, cry, and groan for the Lord to appear, visit, or bless your soul? They have done you good. Have they opened up those parts of God's word which are full of mercy and comfort to His afflicted people? Have they stripped off
