The Word of His Grace!

"Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you." -J OHN 15:3 [KJV]   What God does, He does by the word of His grace and the influences which accompany that word; for ever bear in mind that God does nothing but by His word. The sanctifying, cleansing effects therefore which attend the word of His grace under the operations of the Spirit are spoken of as "the washing of water by the word" (E PHESIANS 5:26) . "The word" is the written Scripture; the "water" is the power of the Holy Ghost; the "washing" is the cleansing effect of the application of the word. Let me ask you this question, if you doubt my words, How are we to get the burden and guilt of our sins off our conscience, the defilement of mind which sin produces, the bondage of spirit which sin creates, the fears and alarm of the soul which sin works? You will say, "By believing in Jesus Christ, for being justified by faith we have peace

The Glory of God's Grace!

“ To the praise of the glory of H is grace, wherein H e hath made us accepted in the beloved.” - E PHESIANS 1:6 [KJV] A poet wrote “Grace! ‘tis a charming sound, harmonious to the ear.” To everyone who has tasted the bitterness of their own sin and has come to know and feel their own depravity, grace is indeed a charming sound. However, it is not so with everyone. There are those to whom the word and the doctrine are bitter to their taste and unpleasant to their ears. Grace is such a singular and absolute principle that it will countenance no rival and will stand for no mixture with it. It resides alone as the means by which God saves sinners. No words can do grace justice! No song can encompass its true melody. No sermon or theological treatise can expound the depths or heights of its glory. Every redeemed person rests in it and is motivated to work by it. It is the source of comfort and conviction, of joy and tears, of desire and fulfillment, of meekness and boldnes

Comfort

Four things comfort the child of God in trials and afflictions: 1. We can trust the God who appoints them (I THESSALONIANS 3:3) . 2. We can trust that He knows our frame (PSALM 103:14) . 3. We can trust that good will always be waiting at the end of the trial (R OMANS 8:28) . 4. We can trust that one day soon He will “Stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all H is saints” ( I T HESSALONIANS 3:13) . - Gospel report by preacher Gabe Stalnaker https://www.sermonaudio.com/source_detail.asp?sourceid=ksgc
