"In W hom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of H is glory." -E PHESIANS 1:13, 14 [KJV]   Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people. Holy are its inhabitants, holy its employments, holy its enjoyments. Therefore unless we know something of the teaching, the work, and witness of the Holy Spirit here, and are made partakers of a new, holy, spiritual, and heavenly nature we have no pledge or earnest of our interest in the inheritance of the saints in bliss.  A carnal, unsanctified, unholy, unrenewed heart is utterly incapable of understanding, entering into, longing after, and loving an inheritance incorruptible, undefiled, and that fadeth not away. But every holy desire, heavenly affection, gracious longing, spiritual enjoyment, and believing, hoping, loving,  looking unto and cleaving to the Lord of life an

POWER NOT IMPOTENCE

The Bible reveals God's power to save, not His impotence. His salvation is not a theoretical one for imaginary believers. It is a real redemption and an effectual salvation accomplished by the Saviour who actually saved sinners on the cross. A careful reading of Scriptures shows that Christ not only powerfully and effectually died for sinners but also demonstrates that the people for whom Christ died were already His people before Christ died for them. Consider this, "You shall call His name Jesus for He shall save His people from their sins" (Matthew 1:21). ----Notice how they were already His people before He saved them. "The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep" (John 10:11). Again notice that He did not give His life for the goats. The goats will face His awful wrath in the Day of Judgment (Matthew 25:32-46) but the sheep are safe for He sacrificed Himself for the sheep. "Christ loved the Church and gave Himself for it" (Ephes

WHO IS THE BLESSED PERSON?

see Psalm 32:1-2 Who would you say is the truly blessed man? Most people would probably say; well, it is the person who has good health, "if you have good health you have everything." To them I would answer, good health is only temporary. One day soon the flesh must wither and die and after that is judgment [ P SALM 103:14; I SAIAH 40:6 ] . Others might answer that the person who is wealthy, surely he is a blessed man. Again, wealth may purchase a lot of things and influence many people, but we can be sure that we are not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold [I PETER 1:18 ] . David in Psalm 32 gives us the right answer to this very important and sobering question. "Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile." Truly, here is the statement of the Almighty God that identifies who is truly blessed. It is the person
