Clear Biblical Truths of Almighty God and His Sovereignty over mere flesh-and-blood men

Throw Down your Weapons of Rebellion and Bow to the KING OF GLORY, Christ Jesus!   Possessing infinite intelligence, God can't do other than behave as God. He has one mind and one will. He acts in the wisest and truest possible way. If one's understanding begins with the wicked world, he will conclude either God doesn't exist or isn't sovereign. If one begins with the scriptures, he will do no other than conclude God is sovereign. Purpose - God acts according "to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself" (Ephesians 1:9) . Job concluded of God: "He is in one mind, and who can turn Him?" (Job 23:13) . God's will is eternal and immutable. It's guided by His holiness and love. It's effectual and conditioned on nothing outside of Himself. Power - Consider this exaltation. "Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty... Thou reignest over all...in Thine hand is

BLESSED BE ALMIGHTY GOD FOR EVER ~ An Eternal, Glorious Salvation of our Souls

"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." -Romans 8:18 [KJV] What is to be compared with the salvation of the soul? What are riches, honours, health, long life? What are all the pleasures which the world can offer, sin promise, or the flesh enjoy? What is all that men call good or great? What is everything which the outward eye hath seen, or natural ear heard, or hath entered into the carnal heart of man, put side by side with being saved in the Lord Jesus Christ with an everlasting salvation?   For consider what we are saved from, as well as what we are saved unto.  From a burning hell to a blissful heaven; from endless wrath to eternal glory; from the dreadful company of devils and damned spirits, mutually tormenting and tormented, to the blessed companionship of the glorified saints, all perfectly conformed in body and soul to the image of Christ, with thousands and tens of thous

ENCOURAGEMENT IN CHRIST JESUS, “The LORD our righteousness!”

"As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance; but as H e which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy." - I Peter 1:14-16 [KJV] Grace lays us under the greatest of all obligations to its free and bountiful Giver, and especially to render a believing obedience to His revealed will and word. It is His free, sovereign, and distinguishing grace alone which makes and manifests us to be His children, and therefore it demands of us, as a feeble and most insufficient tribute of grateful praise, that we should walk worthy of the vocation wherewith we are called, and glorify Him in our body and spirit which are His. He that has never known and felt this knows nothing of the riches of God's grace in the manifestation of mercy and love to his soul.   Such a one knows, that do what he can, he can never do enough to show forth the praises of Him who

CHRIST OUR SUBSTITUTE!

"Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered Him to be crucified." -Matthew 27:26 [KJV] God has ordered by His marvelous providence a vivid picture of every believer's Substitute. Barabbas was rightly charged, convicted and sentenced to be executed. He was found guilty of murder, robbery and sedition against Rome. When the executioner came to release him, he was told Jesus had taken his scourging and crucifixion and that he could go free. Barabbas is a type and picture of sinners for whom Christ Jesus died (1 Timothy 1:15) . We stand guilty before the law of God (Romans 3:19-20) . We were justly convicted of great offences against God (Psalm 51:4) . We were waiting the execution by God's holy law (Romans 6:23) . However, by the order of Almighty God, Jesus Christ was sent to rescue, redeem and release sinners (Matthew 9:13; Luke 4:18) .   Believers no more merit release and rescue than Barabbas did (Ephesians 2:1-4) . But God in

WHAT AMAZING GRACE!

God saves such sinners “freely (without a cause) by H is grace, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:24). There is no cause in any man, any sinner, which could ever move God to save him. There is absolutely nothing which natural, sinful men and women could do or refrain from doing which would cause God to save them. God saves sinners “without a cause:” that is, without reference to anything in them or done by them. God loves and saves sinners freely! Think of it: God saves “without a cause,” those who naturally hate Him “without a cause.” What a change His almighty grace makes in them! What amazing love and grace! WHAT GOOD NEWS FOR SINNERS! Since God saves sinners without any cause in them, then there is hope for me! There is hope for you! There is hope for any and all sinners! He came into this sinful world on purpose, not to call the righteous (those who think themselves to be righteous), but sinners to repentance – and that is me! What about you? Are you a

JESUS ~ The Only True Infallible Physician!

"He sent H is word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions." -Psalm 107:20 [KJV] What an effect a word from God can produce! Be it in reading; in hearing; on the knees; or in secret meditation; when a word drops from the Lord's mouth with any divine power into the soul, what a change it produces! And nothing but this divine power can ever bring a poor sinner out of his miserable condition. When this comes, it does the work in a moment; it heals all the wounds which sin has made, and repairs all the breaches in the conscience that folly has produced. One word from God heals them all. The Lord does not come as it were with plasters to heal first one sore and then another. He heals now as in the days of His flesh. When He healed then, He healed fully, at once, completely.   The earthly doctor heals by degrees; he puts a plaster on one sore, and a liniment on another; and heals one by one. But when the Lord heals, it is all done in a moment. The balm

WE OUGHT TO OBEY GOD RATHER THAN MEN

"Resistance to tyranny becomes the Christian and social duty of each individual… Continue steadfast and, with a proper sense of your dependence on God, nobly defend those rights which heaven gave, and no man ought to take from us ." -John Hancock (1737 - 1793 A.D.) American merchant, smuggler, statesman, and prominent patriot of the American Revolution

GOOD NEWS!

Weekend Gospel message to follow for All Hands (2 8- 3 0 AUG20) Heads-Up --- Please find enclosed encouragement in SO GREAT SALVATION by the perfect and finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ in saving poor, needy and wretched sinners by His sovereign free grace - God's unmerited favor - from their sins and from Hell: The Sum and Substance of the Gospel “Christ died for the ungodly” (Romans 5:6). This is the sum and substance of our gospel and is the great article of our faith. WHO DIED? Christ – the only begotten, well-beloved Son of God in human flesh (John 1:14). HOW DID HE DIE? A death of shame under the wrath of God, bearing our sins (I Peter 2:24). WHY DID HE DIE? He died for, in the stead of, and as the substitute for all of God’s elect in order that God might be just and the justifier of those who believe in Him (Romans 3:24-26). FOR WHOM DID HE DIE? “For the ungodly” – not for righteous men, but for those who are ungodly in nature and practice (I Timothy 1:15). W

God's Work of Salvation

"And stablish you in every good word and work." - II Thessalonians 2:17 [KJV] The living family of God need to be established in the truth, so as not ever to be "children tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine." It is not sufficient for a building to be reared: it must be established before we can know whether it will stand. The most anxious moment of the builder is to see how it will settle; how the walls will bear the roof, and every part stand firm and good without bulging or slipping. When the centering is taken away from a newly-built arch, how the architect looks to see whether it will settle well and the extent of the drop, if there be any.   So in grace. It is not merely making a profession that will serve. Many a building stands well as long as the scaffolding remains; many an arch looks firm whilst the centering supports it. So many seem to stand well in early days, when upheld by zeal and earnestness, or strengthened by the support of others

GRACE AND GLORY!

Many people think of this free grace of God that it is free because they like to have it. But, it is free because God likes to give it, the freeness is on God's part. The riches of this eternal glory are God's, and it comes to us through a perfect Savior; and what we are called to is, not to the praise or the glory of our faith because we believed, but it is to behold the praise and glory of God shining unto us in the face of Jesus Christ. " God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ " ( II Corinthians 4:6) . That eternal glory given to Him is in bringing many sons to glory to behold His face, to see Him, and be like unto Him, and behold that eternal glory He had with the Father before the worlds were, the Father's delight, the Father's darling, the Father's only begotten Son, by whom He created all things, and for whom He created al

To The Remembrance of our Mighty, Merciful LORD God

"The desire of our soul is to T hy Name, and to the remembrance of T hee." -Isaiah 26:8 [KJV] How sweet and expressive is the phrase,  "The desire of our soul!"  How it seems to carry our feelings with it! How it seems to describe the longings and utterings of a soul into which God has breathed the spirit of grace and mercy! "The desire of our soul," —the breathing of our heart, the longing of our inmost being; the cry, the sigh, the panting of our new nature; the heavings, gaspings, lookings, longings, pantings, hungerings, thirstings, and ventings forth of the new man of grace—all are expressed in those sweet and blessed words, "The desire of our soul!" And what a mercy it is, that there should ever be in us "the desire" of a living soul; that though the righteous dealings of God are painful and severe, running contrary to everything nature loves; yet that with all these, there should be dropped into the heart that mercy, love, and

Divine Instruction

"If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise." - I Corinthians 3:18 [KJV] The fruit and effect of divine teaching is, to cut in pieces, and root up all our fleshly wisdom, strength, and righteousness. God never means to patch a new piece upon an old garment; He never intends to let our wisdom, our strength, our righteousness have any union with His; it must all be torn to pieces, it must all be plucked up by the roots, that a new wisdom, a new strength, and a new righteousness may arise upon its ruins. But till the Lord is pleased to teach us, we never can part with our own righteousness, never give up our own wisdom, never abandon our own strength. These things are a part and parcel of ourselves, so ingrained within us, so innate in us, so growing with our growth, that we cannot willingly part with an atom of them till the Lord Himself breaks them up, and plucks them away.   Then, as He brings into our souls some sp

The Wednesday Word

Justified from All Things by D.G. Miles Mckee   “Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins; and by H im all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses." -Acts 13: 38-39 [KJV] JUSTIFIED FROM ALL THINGS … what does that mean? That means the believer is perfectly cleared from the guilt of every sin. No charge can be brought against them for when the believer was justified, he was declared righteous, according to the just judgment of God. The law of Moses could never justify us … it could only condemn. But because of the gospel, God now justifies the ungodly. But how can this possible? Is it because of works of righteousness which we have done? Never! It is “through this man,” the Lord Jesus Christ, whom Paul preached as having died and risen again. In Romans 4, God justifies. Whom does He justify? The ungodly that work not. Is there anyon

GREAT ENCOURAGEMENT IN CHRIST JESUS THE LORD!

"The miracle announced by the Gospel is that God comes to the ungodly with a mercy that is righteous, and in spite of all their depravity and rebellion, enables them through faith (on the ground of Christ’s righteousness) to enter into a new and blessed relation with Himself."   -copied

THE SALVATION OF YOUR SOUL

"Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls." - I Peter 1:9 [KJV]   What a blessed, what a glorious end is this; what a prize to win, what a victory to gain, what a crowning consummation of all that faith has believed, hope expected or love embraced! Whatever doubts and fears may have harassed the mind, whatever sore temptations may have distressed the soul, whatever deep afflictions, painful trials, heavy guilt, and hard bondage may have sunk it low, so low sometimes, as if it never would get over them or rise out of them, still that faith, which is God's gift and work, lives through all, and there is a blessed end in store for it—the salvation of the soul.   And O, what does this not comprehend and imply? Think of what salvation is from; think of what salvation is unto. Neither the one nor the other can be fully known on this side of eternity. You may have had some glimpses of hell, you may have had some glimpses of heaven; some taste of

FLEE TO CHRIST JESUS TODAY ~ HE ALONE IS MIGHTY TO SAVE!

"The gospel is no other than a pure promise, a free declaration of peace and pardon, righteousness, life, and salvation to poor sinners by Jesus Christ. The sum and substance of it is, that This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world TO SAVE SINNERS (I Timothy 1:15)." - The Doctrine of Imputed Righteousness Without Works, by John Gill (1697-1771 A.D.)

Lord Jesus Christ ~ Fountain of Living Water

"If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give M e to drink; thou wouldest have asked of H im, and H e would have given thee living water." -John 4:10 [KJV] We cannot know the nature, though we may know the necessity, of the gift of God, till we experience its power as revealed and shed abroad in our soul. Then we know some measure of the gift of God when we feel eternal life flowing through our spiritual veins. How do I know I live naturally? Is not my participation of natural life known to me by an internal consciousness that I possess it? I know I live, because I feel that I live. And so, if we have spiritual life, there will be, at times and seasons, an internal consciousness that we have it; we shall feel the spiritual heart beat, and the spiritual lungs breathe, and the spiritual eyes see, and the spiritual ears hear: in a word, we shall be internally conscious of those emotions and sensations which are peculiar to the life of God in the sou

Successful Hostage Rescue Mission!

"Salvation is wholly of grace, not only undeserved but undesired by us until God is pleased to awaken us to a sense of our need of it. And then we find everything prepared that our wants require or our wishes conceive; yea, that He has done exceedingly beyond what we could either ask or think. Salvation is wholly of the Lord and bears those signatures of infinite wisdom, power, and goodness which distinguish all His works from the puny imitations of men. It is every way worthy of Himself, a great, a free, a full, a sure salvation. It is great whether we consider the objects (miserable, hell-deserving sinners), the end (the restoration of such alienated creatures to His image and favor, to immortal life and happiness) or the means (the incarnation, humiliation, sufferings and death of His beloved Son). It is free, without exception of persons or cases, without any conditions or qualifications, but such as He, Himself, performs in them and bestows upon them." -preacher John

THE GOSPEL TRUMPET!

"But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: whereunto H e called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ." - II Thessalonians 2:13, 14 [KJV] The first work of grace is to kill rather than to make alive; to wound rather than to heal; to bring down rather than to lift up; to reveal the law rather than the gospel. For "balm is useless to the unfeeling." Salvation with all its superabounding grace is but an empty sound to those who have never felt themselves cut off from all help or all hope. So, in a sense, there is a calling under and through, if not by the law, in the first teaching and operations of the Spirit of God, bringing the soul under its condemnation as a ministration of death. But when the law has done its office, and the sinner is slain by its killing power,

THY POWER TO SAVE!

"There is a fountain filled with blood Drawn from Immanuel's veins,  And sinners plunged beneath that flood Lose all their guilty stains.  The dying thief rejoiced to see That fountain in his day;  And there have I, as vile as he, Washed all my sins away.  Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood Shall never lose its power  Till all the ransomed Church of God Be saved to sin no more.  E'er since by faith I saw the stream Thy flowing wounds supply,  Redeeming love has been my theme  And shall be till I die.  When this poor lisping, stammering tongue Lies silent in the grave,  Then in a nobler, sweeter song I'll sing Thy power to save."      -Wm. Cowper

FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT!

"Continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of." - II Timothy 3:14 [KJV] Various hindrances meet the child of God in his path heavenwards. And their tendency is such, that but for the grace of God, they would effectually succeed in driving him from the faith. When, then, he has to meet a head wind blowing right in his teeth, when the storm and hail beat roughly upon him, when the waves rise high and the stream runs strong, there seems no getting on; and he fears that he shall be like "the children of Ephraim, who, being armed, and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle." And yet there is that grace implanted in his heart, there is that faith which God the Spirit first created and still keeps alive in his soul, that though he may for a moment be driven aside, he yet never turns his back upon the truth; though retarded for a moment, his face is still Zionwards.   I can say for myself, that all the trials I have passed t

WARNING! Public Service Announcement re: "Mandatory Vaccinations" This here would be a crime against nature, i.e. forced medical treatment without INFORMED CONSENT which is a criminal violation of the Nuremburg Code (post WWII) from the military tribunals of the captured Nazi's. I'm hearing from many sources that this proposed "vaccination" [which contains aborted human fetal cells] will incorporate the following, 1) RFID Tracking, 2) All medical & FINANCIAL data and 3) One learned doctor is claiming this vaccination will alter human DNA. This here's some Dr. Mengele lunatic crazy stuff! Ref: Revelation ch. 13 regarding "the mark of the beast." Been practicing the following (whilst bearing arms with lawful intent) with gusto, "Negative, I will NOT comply!" Yes, we are sinners; but Christ died for sinners! Yes, the law condemns; but Christ honored the law! Yes, justice has a claim; but Christ satisfied that claim! Yes, we are imperfect in faith, in commitment, in love; but "He knows our frame and remembers that we are dust," and loves us just the same. We are in Him by HIS CHOICE, redeemed by HIS BLOOD, called by HIS SPIRIT, and kept by HIS POWER, through faith which HE GAVE US! How can I entertain any doubts based on shortcomings found in me when THE WHOLE AFFAIR IS THE LORD'

Encouragement in The Storms

"O Lord, by these things men live; and in all these things is the life of my spirit." - Isaiah 38:16 [KJV] When Hezekiah said, "By these things men live," he meant that by these trials and deliverances, by these sinkings and risings, strippings and clothings, emptyings and fillings, "by these things men," that is, spiritual men, "live." It is a mystery, but a great truth, that just in proportion as we die to the world, to self, to sense, to nature, and to false religion, the more the life of God is strengthened in our conscience. The Lord, perhaps, has taught some of you this truth through great afflictions. But when these trials came upon you at the first, it seemed as though they would entirely overwhelm you; they took away your standing, and it appeared as though they had destroyed your faith and hope.   But though these floods of temptation passed over the soul, they swept away nothing but rubbish, which till then was mistaken for the

THE THRONE OF GRACE!

"And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I  will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel." -Exodus 25:22 [KJV] What heart can conceive or tongue describe the blessedness of this heavenly truth that at all times, under all circumstances, and in all places there is provided a mercy seat, a throne of grace, at which the God of all grace and a sensible sinner may freely meet without let or hindrance, if indeed there be any spirit of prayer in the petitioner's breast? As no place, so no circumstance is too dark for His eye not to see; as no covering is too thick, so no circumstance is too obscure for His sight not to pierce through: "Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the L ORD . Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the L ORD ." So felt the Psalmist: "If I say, Surely the

The Wednesday Word

GOD'S FACTS AND OUR FEELINGS When, in His Word, God states a plain fact, we are wise if we bow to and believe it. Even though our understanding may not be quite able to grasp it, He will, in His own time, make it plain. But should He never, in this world, explain it, it is for us to believe His Word.  In John 3:35-36, God has given us four solid facts. We are called to believe them. 1. The Father loves the Son. 2. And has given all things into His hand. 3. He that believeth on the Son has everlasting life. 4. He that believes not the Son . . . the wrath of God abides on him. These are four facts … they are not human opinions. These are truths, not based upon any experience in us. They are unalterable realities. When we believe them, they might well affect our feelings, but the facts are there whether we feel them or not. There was once a young man who was due to inherit a considerable fortune when he turned 21. On the morning of his 21 st birthday the family lawyer c

THE LORD IS MERCIFUL AND GRACIOUS!

"The L ORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy; H e will not always chide; neither will H e keep H is anger for ever." -Psalm 103:8, 9 [KJV] God is angry and justly angry with the sins of His people. He hates sin with a perfect hatred. He cannot but entertain unceasing wrath against it. It is so contrary to the purity and perfection of His holy nature, that wherever He meets with sin His indignation flashes out against it. And till we have some discovery and manifestation of Christ to assure us of an interest in His precious blood and finished work, we cannot separate the anger of God against our sins from the anger of God against our persons.   But when the Lord is pleased to reveal a sense of His goodness and mercy in the Person and work of His dear Son, then we can see by the eye of faith that though He is angry with our sins, He is not angry with our persons, but accepts us in the Beloved, having chosen us in Him before the foundation o

ETERNAL LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS, "The LORD our righteousness!"

"And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in H is Son." - I John 5:11 [KJV] How often we are looking and looking in vain for life in ourselves. True it is that if God has quickened our souls we are partakers of life divine, of life spiritual, of life eternal, of the life that is in Christ and comes from Christ; and yet how often we vainly seek to find it warm and glowing in our breasts. If once given it never dies; but it is often hidden beneath the ashes, and thus though it slowly burns and dimly glows, yet the ashes hide it from view, and we only know it is there by some remains of warmth. "Your life is hid with Christ in God" [ Col ossians 3:3 ] ; and therefore not only hidden as treasured and stored up safely in God, but hidden from the world, and even hidden from the eyes of its possessor.   Christ is our life. There is no other. To look, then, for life in ourselves independent of and distinct from the fountain o

The State of Affairs Within the U.S. Today

Another Political View by bro. Jack Dawsey (DOD, Ret.) The population of many Christians can be described as, “AWAKE.” Note, I didn’t say WOKE but AWAKE. For them, awake means a conscious discernment in their belief that devious, political forces are trying to transform America, and pull apart the country, and reduce its exceptional nation status. Doubtless, the transformation shall leave many negatives. They include, but not limited to the following. (a) The relocating of more American jobs to foreign soil. (b) Americans will become more dependent upon foreign prescription drug supply chains. (c) The transformation will widen the breach for security between local citizens and their police department. It will mean a merger of police with county social services. What will it be like when family security depends on the new Social Service Police Department? Here’s an example. Sheriff’s Office: “9-1-1, may I help you?” Local Caller: “Sheriff, I have a burglar breaking into
