Like Lot of old, they are “ vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked.” The thing that vexed “ righteous” Lot most was undoubtedly the false religion that characterized Sodom and its consequences. He was disturbed by what he saw and heard. False religion had brought about the abandonment of the true God and Sodom was therefore abandoned by God who gave the inhabitants over to a reprobate mind.
