No Spot: Adorned With CHRIST's Perfect Righteousness

"Thou art all fair ( beautiful in the Hebrew) , My love; there is no spot in thee.” -Song of Solomon 4:7 [KJV] There is no spot in the Church, because the blood of Jesus entirely obliterates each stain. Omniscience may look for sins, but no more can they be found. The absence of defect is the result of her being adorned with His perfect righteousness. In this no blemish can exist. Thus, she appears righteous, even as God is righteous. This blessed truth must be held fast without obliterating the knowledge of our own constant and innumerable transgressions. It cannot be too often repeated, that in ourselves we are deformed and loathsome. The most saintly of saints will ever breathe the prayer, "God be merciful to me a sinner." But Jesus says of His people, "You are all beautiful, My love; there is no spot in you."   -preacher Henry Law

Christ Makes Us to Differ

" O righteous Father, the world hath not known Thee: but I have known Thee, and these have known that Thou hast sent Me. " -John 17:25 [KJV] What a wonderful title of our great God we see here in  this verse, “O righteous Father,” this speaks of the holiness of our great and glorious God.   Note that in this verse, right after our Lord Jesus Christ proclaims this title, He brings forth that the world does not know Him. We who are the born-again, blood washed saints of God, can testify of this truth as before we were regenerated, we did not know the one true God, we did not know the righteous Father, but praise God, He knew us and loved us with an everlasting love. Let us take note in the middle of this verse our Lord proclaims,  “but I have known Thee.”  He was sent by the Father to redeem His people by the shedding of His precious blood at Calvary. He did this by fully paying the price that God’s law demanded for the souls of His people. He, by His great work, e

Relying Upon the Power of The Omnipotent LORD JESUS

" Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine, to fight with him: for thou art but a youth; and he a man of war from his youth." -I Samuel 17:33 [KJV] We frequently use the phrase, carnal reason . What do we mean by it? Just what Saul here used to David. It is the reason of the flesh: it consults the nature and appearance of things only: it judges of and determines events according to human probability entirely: it looks to no other or higher cause, than nature and sense. Now, had David listened to, and obeyed, this sort of reasoning, he would have brought no honour to his God, nor wrought deliverance for his people.  But observe, O my soul! David opposed faith to this carnal reasoning, and by faith overcame it . There was not one word of the Lord in Saul’s mouth. But David introduced, “the Lord the deliverer.” Like St. Paul, “...he conferred not with flesh and blood” (Galatians 1:16.) But being valiant in faith, he overcame the giga
