Only One Gospel

"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." -G ALATIANS 1:8-9 [KJV] My heart breaks as I watch people compromise the Gospel. But I must say again… There is only one Gospel! The Gospel of the free and sovereign grace of Christ my Lord. The Gospel that gives Christ all the Glory in salvation and excludes all human boasting. The Gospel that exalts the electing love of the Father, the effectual redemption of the Son, and the irresistible grace of the Holy Spirit . This is the Gospel and where this is not preached, the Gospel of Christ is not preached! Call me bigoted, narrow or cultist if you will, but this is the only Gospel that will save a sinner like me. I am captive to this Gospel! I really have no choice but to preach this Gospel! While

ONE WITH JESUS

One with Jesus, what a Savior! Separated from Him never. One with Him thus one in favor, With my God above. One with Christ in God's election; In Him by divine selection; Grace not works our one connection, To the Righteous One! One with Christ in close relation. Saved by covenant salvation. Put by God's predestination, In His Son of love. One with Jesus here rejected. In His death sins curse corrected. One with Jesus resurrected. Never more to die! One with Christ for heaven suited In His righteousness imputed Law and justice now saluted. Praise His righteous grace! One with Jesus, blessed union! Holding with Him sweet communion! Tis believing not presuming, That we rest in Him. -words by preacher Gary Shepard
"I will set him on high, because he hath known M y name." -PSALM 91:14 [KJV] A man must know the Lord's name before ever he can feel any real love to Him. Now this is needful, this is what the Lord does for His people, He causes them to know His name. "They shall all know M e, from the least of them unto the greatest" (J EREMIAH 31:34) . "They shall all;" they shall. The Lord has declared it. They shall know Me. Now what is the name of the Lord? When God revealed Himself unto Moses, did He not say, "I AM THAT I AM?" This was the way God taught Moses His name, and we may gather from it that whatever God is, that is His name. God is holy, God is just, God is merciful, God is a God of love. Now the sinner must know this. He must know that God is a pure and holy God, and at first when he is beginning to learn this lesson, he is completely astonished and appalled by it. It causes him to shrink away and hide himself from God. "How

The LORD's mercy endureth for ever!

" Thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea." - MICAH 7:19 [KJV] When God takes all our iniquities with His own hand, and casts them with His own arm into the depths of the sea, they will never come out of those depths to witness against the family of God in the great and terrible day. Your sins now may seem to be all alive in your breast, and every one of them to bring accusation upon accusation against you. This sin is crying out for vengeance, and that for punishment. This slip, this fall, this backsliding, this foolish word, this wrong action, are all testifying against you in the court of conscience. Do what you may, be where you may, live how you may, watch and pray how you may, keep silent and separate from the world or even from your own family how you may, sin still moves, lives, acts, works, and often brings you into guilt and bondage. But if God has had mercy upon us He has cast all our sins with His own hands into the dep

The Almighty's Distinguishing Grace!

At the great, white throne judgment, concerning those who will be "cast into the lake of fire," John wrote that their names were "not found written in the book of life" (Rev. 20:15) . The book referenced is the Lamb’s book of life, written before the world was made (Rev. 13:8) which contains the names of God’s elect, inscribed with the indelible ink of sovereign grace. The Holy Spirit could have inspired John to write, "And whosoever would not believe on Christ was cast into the lake of fire" and that would be accurate for they would not come to the only Savior to be saved by Him. Or, the Holy Spirit could have inspired John to write, "And whosoever did not repent of their dead works and submit to be saved by the obedience of the Son of God was cast into the lake of fire," and that would also have been a valid statement because all who perish refused to turn from self-righteousness and be saved by the person and work of Christ.
