Looking Unto JESUS ~ The Captain of Our Salvation!

“ T HERE IS NO OTHER SAVIOR BUT C HRIST to look to, no other MEDIATOR between God and men to make use of, no other PHYSICIAN of value for diseased and sin-sick souls to apply unto, no other FOUNTAIN but His blood for polluted souls to wash in and be cleansed, no other CITY OF REFUGE or stronghold for souls sensible of danger to flee unto and be safe, no other to come to as the BREAD OF LIFE where hungry souls may be fed, no other place of REST for those that are weary and heavy laden, nor is there any other where is plenty of all grace and security from every enemy, as in HIM; and therefore, to whom can they have recourse, but unto HIM?” -Gospel report by preacher John Gill (1697–1771 A.D.)

Taught of God by His Good Spirit

"Thou gavest also T hy good Spirit to instruct them, and withheldest not T hy manna from their mouth, and gavest them water for their thirst." -N EHEMIAH 9:20 [KJV] When we are thoroughly emptied of ourselves—when our knowledge is shewn to be ignorance, our wisdom folly, our righteousness filthy rags, and our strength weakness—then we begin to long after the teachings of the blessed Spirit. That God would raise up a people that were more concerned for His glory and the glorious gospel of Christ than they were of offending the law and works mongers of this religious world .  If we cannot distinguish between the true gospel and the false, then we only know the false. If we can receive without any difficulty as brethren those who undoubtedly neither know nor want to hear the gospel, then we are ourselves like them. Those we refer to as “Christian” show what we really believe is the basis for being a Christian. At Antioch where
