Faith, Not A Feeling

Salvation is not a question of feeling, as so many would make it. It is entirely a matter of faith in a Person ( the man, Christ JESUS ), in an accomplished fact, faith-wrought in the soul of a sinner by the power of the Holy Ghost. This faith is something quite different from a mere feeling of the person or an assent of the intellect.  Mere feeling and sentimentality (or emotion) can never rise above the source from whence they come and that source is self; but faith has to do with God and His eternal Word, and is a living link, connecting the heart that possesses it with God Who gives it. Feelings and sentiments can never connect with the soul of God.  No doubt, faith will produce feeling and sentiments (spiritual feelings and truthful sentiments)—but the fruits of faith must never be confounded with faith itself. He can only be known by His own revelation and by the faith which He Himself imparts. -preacher Scott Richardson

A Word of Encouragement in Christ JESUS

" Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.  My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.  God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day." -Psalm 7:9-11 [KJV]

Was  Yahweh Ever Pierced? by D. G. Miles McKee   “The head that once was crowned with thorns Is crowned with glory now A royal Diadem adorns The mighty Victor’s brow.”   Thank God for the Old Testament prophets, prophets like Zechariah who exactly identifies the Lord Jesus.  Listen as the seer gives a message from Yahweh foretelling events of the last day. He writes,   “And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.”   (Zechariah 12:10).   Did you catch that? The one from whom the message comes is Yahweh and notice what He claims! He asserts that He has been pierced!  He says, “ they shall look upon  me  whom they have pierced .”  In other words, the pierced One is Yahweh Himself! But when was Yahweh eve

A Mighty Change God's Grace makes! Take heed, friends...

"...of whom I am chief." -1 Timothy 1:15 [KJV] What a mighty change does grace make! The apostle was once, in his own eyes, the chief of saints. If but two went to heaven, he had no doubt but he should be one. Now, he is really an eminent saint in Christ: he confesses himself the chief of sinners. Why so? Did he love sin, lie down and wallow in sin, and glory in sin? No, far from it: he was now saved from all his sins. Hence he sees the exceeding preciousness of Christ, his Saviour; the exceeding sinfulness of sin, which dwelt in him; and the infinite holiness, spirituality, and perfection of the law of God.  Therefore, he makes this public declaration: not, I have been, but, I now am the chief of sinners. He, as it were, stands forth and challenges the whole race of sinners, and says, I will give place to no one: of all of you, I will be the first rate, and stand foremost in the rank. But is not this glorying in sin, which was his shame? Self-righteous hearts
