The LORD is our King - Mighty to Save

"Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?" -R OMANS 6:16 [KJV] There is somewhat very blessed in eyeing the Lord Jesus in His character as King. His church must always find in this view of their Lord a very high satisfaction. His is the blessed: office, in this royal character, to govern, rule, maintain, support, to pardon, reward, countenance, favour, and bless all His kingdom. He hath indeed made all His kings and priests to God and the Father. And what a rapturous thought is it to recollect, that His kingdom is for ever, and His dominion that which shall have no end! While we behold the Lord Jesus in this exalted point of view, it becomes an interesting enquiry of the soul, whether we are subjects of His kingdom. - Gospel report by preacher Robert Hawker (1753-1827 A.D.)

Hallelujah - HID WITH CHRIST IN GOD!

"Your life is hid with Christ in God." -C OLOSSIANS 3:3 [KJV] There is nothing so deep, nothing so hidden, as the life of God in the soul. It is not a lake, spread abroad in the meridian sunshine to attract every eye; nor is it a brook that flows babbling on over the clear pebbles; but it is a well. "The water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water, springing up into everlasting life." Therefore it is hidden from view. The best part of our religion is that

GOD IS MY KING

"For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth." -P SALM 74:12 [KJV] In our day men speak constantly of liberty, democracy and freedom. They exalt self-rule, independence and individual rights. However, God’s believing elect rejoice that they were made willing in the day of His power to behold Jesus Christ as their God and King. Now we gladly bow before Him, submit to His Kingship and behold the King in His beauty! More than a king He is, for He is the King of kings! He is the King of kings who sits at the right hand of the Majesty on high, rules over all and all things exercising His sovereignty in every quarter. As this glorious sovereign He has mercy upon whom He will have mercy and is gracious to whom He would be gracious. He declares in the positive, “ I will have mercy…” and “ none can stay His hand or say unto Him what doest Thou?” Have you the eye of faith to behold this King in His beauty? His is the beauty of holi
