Man is full of depravity; he is sinful within and without. Well might Bildad ask in Job 25:4, "How then can man be justified with God? or how can He be clean that is born of a woman?" Behold the God of infinite wisdom. He took the sins of His people and laid them upon the only acceptable and suitable Substitute of sinners, the Lord Jesus Christ and He died in the stead of the guilty. It was only in that way the justice of God could be satisfied and sinners who deserved to die could be declared "the righteousness of God in Him" (I
