GOOD NEWS!

Weekend Gospel message to follow for All Hands (08-10MAY20) Heads-Up --- Please find enclosed encouragement in SO GREAT SALVATION by the perfect and finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ in saving poor, needy and wretched sinners by His sovereign free grace - God's unmerited favor - from our sins and from Hell: “Whosoever believeth that JESUS IS THE CHRIST is born of God” [I JOHN 5:1 ] and all who are born of God believe that Jesus is the Christ. The title THE CHRIST signifies anointed and includes all the offices of the Son of God. It is not how to get saved but who saves, the LORD. The LORD purposed to save a people: Jesus Christ, God incarnate, died for those people and the Holy Spirit calls them by the gospel and regenerates them. It is all of the LORD from alpha to omega. If we are to build a house, let’s talk about the how to plan, if we are talking about salvation, let’s talk about the doing and dying and rising again of the Lord Jesus Christ.”    -Gospel report by preacher John Chapman

If we have religion, the religion of God's giving , it will be uppermost in our heart.   It is true we are surrounded with and often hampered by a body of sin and death; we have many worldly cares and anxieties which will intrude upon our minds; and those engaged in business have many things especially to drag them down from heaven to earth. Still, religion will be for the most part uppermost in a man's soul, where God has begun and is carrying on a gracious work. Not but what he
