Partakers of the Inheritance in Light

THE WEAVER  aka “The Tapestry Poem”   My life is but a weaving / Between my God and me. I cannot choose the colors / He weaveth steadily. Oft’ times He weaveth sorrow; / And I in foolish pride Forget He sees the upper / And I the underside. Not ’til the loom is silent / And the shuttles cease to fly Will God unroll the canvas / And reveal the reason why. The dark threads are as needful / In the weaver’s skillful hand As the threads of gold and silver / In the pattern He has planned. He knows, He loves, He cares; / Nothing this truth can dim. He gives the very best to those / Who leave the choice to Him. –brother Grant Colfax Tullar (1869-1950 A.D.)   -------0-------   PARTAKERS OF THE INHERITANCE         “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:  Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son:...

Altogether Lovely

"When the Holy Ghost enables the soul to look by faith to the ability, the willingness and the ALL-sufficiency of Jesus to save to the uttermost all that come unto God by Him, what a blessed sight it is to Him! What a heart-cheering, soul-ravishing, Christ-exalting view it is to his soul!  Then he sees that the LORD Jesus Christ is the Highway of Holiness; He is a Glorious Way; a Way whereby God can be just and yet the Justifier of all those who believe in Jesus; the Way in which sin was taken away with all its damning consequences, the law with its curse removed, justice satisfied and hell and  destruction everlastingly defeated.  When the believer is led to see and know these things, how he delights in Jesus! Jesus becomes precious and “Altogether Lovely” to his never-dying soul." -preacher John Kershaw (1834 A.D.) -------0-------    "The common delusion of the day in which we live is to think of and speak of Christ as if He were merely a Saviour who ha...

Audio Gospel Sermon ~ "Born Free!"

Dear friends, Here's a wonderful Gospel message of the glory of our LORD JESUS Christ; preached by Henry Mahan (45 minutes in length) back in November of 1982 A.D.  Bible text from Galatians 4:30-31 . "...Let God be magnified." -Psalm 70:4 [KJV]  Link:   https://www.sermonaudio.com/sermons/5906142556

Our Greatest Joy

"I will come again, and receive you unto Myself, that where I am, there ye may be also." -John 14:3 [KJV] Our Lord spake these words to His disciples, who had faith in Him, and yet had troubled hearts. Is this your case? They are suited to all such. They are to strengthen the faith and comfort the hearts of disciples. O this coming again of Christ will be the crowning work of all! To whom? awful to think of! The greatest part of the world believe nothing of Christ’s first coming, and care nothing about His second coming. It will be a dreadful coming to them. “I will come again.”  A second coming implies a first. If Christ has come in the power of His Spirit to our hearts, so that we have seen His glory, and believed on Him, we shall look with pleasure, and long with joy, for His coming again. This is a sure mark, that we shall “receive a crown of righteousness, if we love the appearing of Christ” (II Timothy 4:8.) Now, to your hearts by faith: hereafter, by sigh...

THE BEST IS YET TO COME...

"The golden censer." -Hebrews 9:4 [KJV] It is blessed, my soul! to behold the numberless types and shadows of "good things to come,"  which the church of old contained; and it is blessed to see them all fulfilled in Christ, the substance. Jesus, thy Jesus, in His glorious high priestly office, is at once the censer, the incense, the high priest, and offering, and is now unceasingly engaged in carrying on the glorious purposes of His redemption "by appearing in the presence of God for us." He is the "mighty angel"  spoken of, Revelation 8:3. For upon the "golden censer"  of His own merit and righteousness, and by the efficacy of His own glorious person, are all presentations made. "No man cometh to the Father but by Him,"  coming by Him, and in Him, and through Him, all thy poor offerings come up "for a memorial before God."  And what is the much incense here spoken of, but the merits of that finished sa...

LORD JESUS Christ ~ The Hope of Glory

"O satisfy us early with Thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days."   -Psalm 90:14 [KJV] Many of the dear children of God are tossed up and down on a sea of great uncertainty, doubt and fear, because they have not had sensible manifestations of Christ to their soul. He has not come into them in the power of His love; still they often say, "When wilt Thou come unto me? O visit me with Thy salvation; speak a word to my soul; it is Thyself, and Thyself alone, I want to hear, to see, and to know!" Now these are drawings of the gracious Lord, the secret beginnings of His coming, the heralds of His approach, the dawning of the day before the morning star arises and the sun follows upon his track. But when the Lord does come in any sweet manifestation of His presence or of His power, then He will abide where He has come, for He never leaves or forsakes a soul which He has once visited. He may seem to do so; He may withdraw Himself; and then who c...

Audio Gospel Sermon ~ "How Can a Sinner Approach a Holy God?"

Dear friends, Please find enclosed a direct link to an outstanding Gospel message which exalts Christ JESUS our LORD, and, will certainly comfort and encourage the hearer. Preached by brother Henry Mahan (34 minutes.) In this powerful teaching from Hebrews chapter 9, we explore one of the most important questions in the Bible: How can sinful humanity come into the presence of a perfectly holy God? This message walks through the Old Testament tabernacle, the priesthood, and the sacrificial system—revealing how they all point to one ultimate truth: Jesus Christ is the only way . Discover: Why God’s holiness separates us from Him The meaning behind the tabernacle and the Holy of Holies The role of blood sacrifice in forgiveness How Jesus fulfilled everything once and for all What “eternal redemption” really means This isn’t just theology—it’s the foundation of peace, forgiveness, and eternal life. 📖 “Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission.” -Hebrews 9:22 [KJV] Link:...

Steadfast, Unmovable & Abounding...

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” -I Corinthians 15:58 [KJV]   Because believers have been given the complete victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (I Corinthians 15:57) , we have such a sure and certain hope of forgiveness and pardon from all sins (Ephesians 1:7; I John 1:7) , full redemption in Christ (Galatians 3:13) , total reconciliation in Christ (II Corinthians 5:18) ,  everlasting righteousness in Christ (Romans 4:6) , washing of regeneration in Christ (Titus 3:5) , and sure and certain hope of a glorious resurrection in Christ (John 11:25; I Corinthians 15:51-56) “therefore, be steadfast, unmoving and abounding in the work of the Lord.”     Be steadfast ; settled in Christ, rooted and grounded in Christ, stand fast (Ephesians 3:17; Colossians 2:7) . Take a stand for the cause of God and truth and don’t compromis...

THE UNSHAKABLE GRIP OF OUR MIGHTY GOD (Jesus Christ)

GOD’S GRIP    A person who is truly in Christ is not held by their own grip but by Christ’s finished work and ongoing faithfulness. Salvation is not a fragile agreement that can be broken by human failure; it is a covenant secured by the blood of Christ and kept by the power of God. Those who belong to Him may stumble, but they are not abandoned or lost, because Christ does not lose those the Father has given Him. The security rests not in the strength of the believer, but in the unshakable grip of the Savior .                  -preacher David Eddmenson

Only the Gospel of JESUS Christ Deals with the Real Problem

The Real Problem   If a doctor only treated the symptoms of a disease, it would be a disaster.  If we have cancer, and are given morphine to take away the pain, but no chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery is used to deal with the cancer itself, we will die.  There are many symptoms of sin.  Unhappiness, fear, depression, substance abuse, pride, anger… we could go on and on.     The world, particularly religion, seeks to correct the symptoms without dealing with the real problem of sin.  It is only the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ that deals with the real problem .  Anything less deals only with the symptoms and will do no real good.     -preacher Todd Nibert

The Great Mystery Of God's Gospel

Believers on the one hand are nothing but sin, and on the other hand they have no sin. This is one of the great mysteries of the gospel that keeps God’s people humble, yet hopeful. It causes them to have no confidence in the flesh, yet to come boldly before the throne of grace. It is the reason they can mourn and rejoice at the same time.  It shows them their inability to satisfy any part of God’s law, and it frees them from the condemnation of the law. It causes them to bow in humble worship as mercy beggars, yet they hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end. They are nothing, yet have everything. They are hell deserving, yet heaven bound.  They are in abject poverty, and they are infinitely and eternally rich. To the natural man, these things are a contradiction. The child of God…they are his life.     -preacher Greg Elmquist

The Sin Unto Death

"The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Who knoweth the power of Thine anger? even according to Thy fear, so is Thy wrath.  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom." - Psalm 90:10-12 [KJV]   *******0*******     THE SIN UNTO DEATH (I John 5:16)     The sin unto death (which is deserving of death and will certainly bring eternal death) is denying the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is THAT SIN which kept most of Israel from the promised land--UNBELIEF (Hebrews 3:19). The sin unto death is not a temporary fall, the transgression of a commandment, nor to be overtaken in a fault. The sin unto death is APOSTASY--to deny the precious person and work of our Lord Jesus. " He that hath not the Son, hath not life " but only death.    We pray and receive forgiv...

SALVATION IN CHRIST JESUS!

“This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.” -I Timothy 1:15 [KJV]    Our Lord did not come into this world to tell us what we have to do in order to save ourselves; He came to save us.  He came to do something for us, to act on our behalf.  That is the very essence of the gospel.   “The Son of man has come to seek and to save that which was lost”   (Luke 19:10).   It is He Himself and what He has done on our behalf that constitutes our salvation.   -preacher Martyn Lloyd-Jones

The Wednesday Word ~ 20 May, 2026 A.D.

More on The Blood by DG Miles McKee   “The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.” – I John 1:7 [KJV]   Notice whose blood it is that cleanses. It is His Son‘s blood. And who is His Son? He is God manifest in the flesh (I Timothy 3:16) . This is our confidence. Christ Jesus was not merely a well-meaning man----a well-meaning man could not cleanse our sin. God alone can do that (Mark 2:7) . It is the blood of the sinless, innocent, righteous man who is God over all, blessed forever  (Romans 9:5) which cleanses us.  Calvary is powerful because it was there that God’s blood purchased us (Acts 20:28) . That blood was precious, saving blood and not the blood of a mere man, it was the blood of the God/Man.   Here’s the dilemma, our sins required eternal death, but God could not die. So, in his infinite wisdom and grace, God became one of us. Men can die! As a man, therefore, Christ offered Himself as His people´s perfect substitut...

Preparations for Our Eternal Abode with Christ JESUS

"I go to prepare a place for you. " -John 14:2 [KJV]   If any person, destitute of the provisions of life, had a promise from some noble lord, I will amply provide for you—I will go this day to court, and get a place for you : if he believed his word, and depended on his power, it would fill the heart with joy. Suppose he actually succeeded to the most desirable place, and that it was in no one’s power to dispatch him: what then? Why, this would add to his comfort. But, though no one could take his place from him, yet, alas! there is one, who will very soon summons him to another, in the place appointed for all living. Ah! this gives a damp to every earthly enjoyment. Off hands, from all: quit your hold of all: for you hold all earthly possessions by a very uncertain tenure. But, hear your Lord: rejoice at His words.    (1st.) I go; willingly and cheerfully, through the most dreadful scenes of horror, agony, and death. I go, to face, fight with, and conquer a...

The Complete Forgiveness of Sins

"Thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea." -Micah 7:19 [KJV]   When God takes all our iniquities with His own hand, and casts them with His own arm into the depths of the sea, they will never come out of those depths to witness against the family of God in the great and terrible day. Your sins now may seem to be all alive in your breast, and every one of them to bring accusation upon accusation against you. This sin is crying out for vengeance, and that for punishment. This slip, this fall, this backsliding, this foolish word, this wrong action, are all testifying against you in the court of conscience. Do what you may, be where you may, live how you may, watch and pray how you may, keep silent and separate from the world or even from your own family how you may, sin still moves, lives, acts, works, and often brings you into guilt and bondage.    But if God has had mercy upon us He has cast all our sins with His own hands into the depths of th...

An Excellent Allegory

"But he who was of the bond-woman, was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise; which things are an allegory." -Galatians 4:23, 24 [KJV]   My soul! As thou readest this scripture, do not forget to bless the great Author of it, even God the Holy Ghost, for having condescended to teach the church the sacred truths contained in it. Never would it have entered into the heart of man, untaught of God, to have conceived that the births of Ishmael and Isaac had such divine purposes connected with their history. We might have read for ever the account given of it in the book of Genesis, without once forming a thought of the spiritual tendency of the subject, had not the Holy Ghost, by His servant the apostle, told the church that it was an allegory.   But, blessed with such gracious teaching, see to it, my soul, this evening, what a delightful subject it leads to. "These (saith the apostle) are the two covenants ; " meaning the mother ...

Why Am I Here?

May each of us ask that question to ourselves:  Why am I here?  Various motives prompt those who worship together for the professed purpose of worshipping God.  But may we hope that all of us here present are moved by spiritual motives and not fleshly.  In answer to the question I have asked, I can truly say that I am here for the glory of God, the exaltation of God’s Christ, the honor of His blessed Spirit and the good of God’s chosen people .   Those of you who are spiritually one with Me are longing for the fulfillment of the Father’s promise,  “In all places where I record My Name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee”   (Exodus 20:24).  You are also desiring the fulfillment of the Master’s promise,  “Where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them”   (Matthew 18:20).    May He give us to enjoy the reality of His Own sweet words to the Samaritan wo...

The Wrath to Come ~ Flee to the LORD JESUS Today!

“But when he (John the Baptist) saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?”   (Matthew 3:7).    Remember the tremendous and overwhelming fact, that the wrath of God does not end with death.  This is a truth which the preacher cannot mention without trembling, nor without wondering that he does not tremble more.  The eternity of punishment is a thought which crushes the heart.  When an unbeliever dies, you have buried the man, but you have not buried his sins.  His sins live, and are immortal: they have gone before him to judgment and they will follow after him to bear their witness as to the evil of his heart and the rebellion of his life.  The Lord God is slow to anger, but when He is once aroused to it, as He will be against those who finally reject His Son, He will put forth all His omnipotence to c...

A Command to Crave!

Now may the Lord reveal His face And teach our stammering tongues To make His sovereign, reigning grace The subject of our songs. No sweeter subject can invite A sinner’s heart to sing Or more display the glorious right Of our exalted King. Grace reigns to pardon crimson sins To melt the hardest hearts And from the work it once begins   It never once departs. ’Twas grace that called our souls at first By grace thus far we’ve come And grace will help us through the worst And lead us safely   home.     -Gospel hymn: “O God Our Help In Ages Past”   -------0-------    “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the Word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.” -I Peter 2:2-3 [KJV]   A believer certainly ought to desire, long after, crave the sincere, pure milk of the Word.   A true believer does in fact desire this pure milk.   He cannot be a believer without this attitude toward the Word. ...
