Who is He? by D.G. Miles McKee There’s a grand old hymn which, in reference to the Lord Jesus, asks the question “Who is He?” Let´s ask and answer a little about that question. Who is He?  ... He’s the One  at whose birth the sky was filled with singing angels (Luke 2:13). Who is He ? He’s the One at whose infant feet wise men bowed in adoration and worship (Matthew 2:11). Who is He?   He’s the One who, when seen, caused John the Baptist to proclaim, “Behold the Lamb of God which takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). Who is He?  He’s the One  at whose baptism the heavens were opened and on whom the Spirit of God descended in the form of a dove (Matthew 3: 16). Who is He?   He’s the One at whose word the storm became still, and there was a great calm (Mark 4:39).   Who is He?   He’s the One that healed the sick with a word. Have No Confidence in the Flesh

" That which is born of the flesh is flesh." -John 3:6 [KJV] To learn the total corruption and desperate wickedness of human nature, is a hard lesson to flesh and blood. To have no confidence in the flesh; to consider ourselves upon a level with the very worst and vilest of sinners; yea, with the very devils, in point of hope of salvation in ourselves, is mortifying to our natural pride, and contrary to our carnal reason. “But the L ORD of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, and to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth” (Isaiah 23:9.)  He hath effectually done this, by appearing in our nature, and by the doctrines which he taught.
