The LORD our Righteousness!

“ He hath made H im to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in H im.  The LORD hath laid on H im the iniquity of us all. - Who H is own self bare our sins in H is own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. - As by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of O ne shall many be made righteous. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. The LORD our Righteousness.” -II Cor inthians 5:21. Isa iah 53:6. The Wednesday Word

GOD'S FACTS AND OUR FEELINGS When, in His Word, God states a plain fact, we are wise if we bow to and believe it. Even though our understanding may not be quite able to grasp it, He will, in His own time, make it plain. But should He never, in this world, explain it, it is for us to believe His Word.  In John 3:35-36, God has given us four solid facts. We are called to believe them. 1. The Father loves the Son. 2. These are four facts … they are not human opinions. These are truths, not based upon any experience in us. They are unalterable realities. When we believe them, they might well affect our feelings, but the facts are there whether we feel them or not. There was once a young man who was due to inherit a considerable fortune when he turned 21. On the morning of his 21 st birthday the family lawyer c

"The L ORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy; H e will not always chide; neither will H e keep H is anger for ever." -Psalm 103:8, 9 [KJV] God is angry and justly angry with the sins of His people. He hates sin with a perfect hatred. He cannot but entertain unceasing wrath against it. It is so contrary to the purity and perfection of His holy nature, that wherever He meets with sin His indignation flashes out against it. And till we have some discovery and manifestation of Christ to assure us of an interest in His precious blood and finished work, we cannot separate the anger of God against our sins from the anger of God against our persons.   But when the Lord is pleased to reveal a sense of His goodness and mercy in the Person and work of His dear Son, then we can see by the eye of faith that though He is angry with our sins, He is not angry with our persons, but accepts us in the Beloved, having chosen us in Him before the foundation o
