Glory to Christ Jesus For Ever

Why Preach the Gospel to the non-Elect?

When people are confronted with the true gospel of God’s sovereign grace in Christ, they often ask this question: “If those who are not elected will not be saved, then why preach the gospel to them?” 1. It is to be preached to them because God in His infinite wisdom, holiness, righteousness and sovereignty has commanded it to be done. “ And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” [MARK 16:15 ] . 2. It is to be preached to them because their rejection of Christ will reveal their true nature of sin and the reason for their just condemnation and judgment. It leaves men without excuse. “ But ye believe not, because ye are not of My sheep, as I said unto you” [JOHN 10:27 ] . 3.
