Behold the eternal security of the weakest believer in Jesus. The act of justification, once passed under the great seal of the resurrection of Christ, God can never revoke without denying Himself. If we have been taught by the Holy Spirit concerning our sinfulness and the inability of the unregenerate man to perform a spiritual act, then we will realize the necessity of God’s irresistible, invincible call of grace. If any deny that salvation be by the free and sovereign grace of God in Christ alone, it is because they do not know themselves! They do not know themselves and their real condition because they do not believe God! We are so blinded by self-righteousness and Satan that unless the Spirit give us the gift of faith, we can never know our true state and condition as sinners before God.
