The Glorious Light - CHRIST JESUS - GRACE and TRUTH

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld H is glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." -J OHN 1:14 [KJV]   The glory of Christ, in His suffering manhood, was veiled from the eyes of all but those who were taught by the blessed Spirit and enlightened to see it. And what glory is still to be seen by believing eyes in an incarnate God! The grandeur of Deity, tempered by the weakness of humanity, and yet shining through it, as the noonday sun shines through the clouds, which so far veil his rays that though they permit him to be seen they do not dazzle nor blind the eye! The Son of God in the babe of Bethlehem; the "only begotten of the Father," sweating great drops of blood in the Garden, and hanging upon the cross at Calvary; yet in His lowest state, when covered to man's eye with ignominy and shame, glory streaming from every pore of His sacred body, majesty and beauty shining forth fro

The Free, Sovereign Grace of God!

“ Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified .” - ROMANS 8:30 [KJV]   The justified sinner stands the closest to God, of any created being in the universe. Nearer to the throne of the Eternal, he cannot stand. What marvelous love! Who will dare assert that salvation is not, from first to last of free, sovereign grace? Let your eye pierce the veil which falls between earth and heaven. Behold that shining, worshiping being, standing so near to the throne of glory, bathed in the overpowering effulgence of its rays. Who is he?  He was once a sinner upon earth, the vilest of his race, the dishonored of his generation, forsaken by man and abhorred of God. But Jesus found him in his lost estate, and divine love drew him, and sovereign grace rescued, pardoned, and saved him! And now washed from all his guilt by the blood, freed from all condemnation by the righteousne

A Willing People

"Thy people shall be willing in the day of Thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: T hou hast the dew of T hy youth." -P SALM 110:3 [KJV] ANY who suppose that God is sovereign in every area except over man's will , imply that man exercises some control that is outside the realm of God's power and authority. Were that true, then God would not be God! All creatures live, move, and have their being in Him [ A CTS 17:28 ] . It also would mean that man is not completely lost, since he would still retain the power and possibility of believing on Christ. Such a teaching is contrary to all that the Scriptures witness of natural men. These fallen sinners are spiritually dead, unable, and unwilling to come to Christ, unless God first gives them the power and authority [ J OHN 1:11-12 ] . Nevertheless, it is just as wrong to assume that since God does the saving, that He saves against the sinner's will. The glorious truth of P
