Christ our Substitute and Head

God’s wisdom formed the vast design To ransom us when lost; And Christ’s own blood and righteousness Provided all the costs. Strict justice with approving look, God’s covenant was sealed; When God incarnate undertook To see the whole fulfilled. Now sin appears deserving death And would its curse impose; But Christ our Substitute and Head Has lived and died and rose. Upon the merits of His blood, Secure and saved by grace; We dare approach the throne of God In Christ who took our place. Hymn: “O For A Thousand Tongues”

Sovereignty belongs unto Almighty God!

"Known unto God are all His works from the beginning of the world." -A CTS 15:18 [KJV] The sovereignty of God is absolute. To acknowledge this truth is at once to acknowledge that God has foreordained whatsoever comes to pass; that nothing else can come to pass; that predestination is a fact; that God does rule in the kingdoms of men; that all human ties, bonds and relationships are divinely appointed and formed; that salvation rests solely, fully and only in God’s election; that salvation is by God’s grace and His grace alone; and that no part of man’s salvation is of himself either in origin or execution. Where men get the idea that man’s will is the all-determining factor or moving cause of his salvation is hard to see. Certainly they do not get it from the Bible. - Gospel report by preacher Scott Richardson Please find enclosed link to audio Gospel sermons: https://www.sermonaudio.com/search.asp?speakeronly=true&currsection=sermons...

O that you might know more fully—more powerfully—what a blessed hope of eternal life is laid up in the bosom of this heavenly calling, that it might cheer and encourage you to press on more and more to realise all that is given you in Christ, both for here and hereafter, in present grace and in future glory! In knowing what is the hope of their effectual calling, the saints of God learn that this hope embraces all things which are made theirs in Christ, whether life or death, or things present or things to come, that all are theirs; and for this blessed and all-sufficient reason, that they are Christ's and Christ is God's. It is by making sure our calling that we make sure our election,—for the one is...
