"Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on H im whom H e hath sent . " - JOHN 6:29 [KJV] Oh! how many a living saint is there who wants to believe in Jesus, who longs to trust in His holy name; and yet he cannot, so plagued, so pestered is he by the risings of inward unbelief. He knows that he does not yet so believe in him as to obtain deliverance; for he has an inward testimony in his conscience, that if he believed in the Lord Jesus by the power of the Holy Ghost, it would bring the love of God into his heart, extract the sting of death, and fill him with joy and peace. "Reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ, our Lord." -R OMANS 6:11 [KJV] Our sins were crucified with Christ. They were put to death when He died, for He was our covenant head, and we were legally represented by Him. The law has no more right to condemn us than it has to condemn Him. Justice is bound to deal with us as it has with our Savior. "He that is dead is freed" from the sin for which He died; so are we! If we do not see this complete mortification in Him, sin will reign in us. No sin can be crucified in heart or life unless it be first pardoned in conscience. If the believer does not see HIS PERFECT DEADNESS IN CHRIST, he will open wide a door to unbelief. If a believer does not see HIS COMPLETENESS IN CHRIST, he leaves room for attacks of self-righteousness and legalism. If Christ be not all, self will feed personal merit and importance. - Gospel report by p reacher William Rom...

“ Faith is necessary for salvation. But, we do not look to our faith to save us; rather, in faith, we look to Christ. Repentance is necessary for salvation. But we do not look to our repentance to save us; rather, in repentance, we turn to Christ. There are graces, which God works in us as He saves us. But these graces are never to be the object of our trust, confidence or hopeful gaze. All the graces God gives us in salvation are to be used to look to, turn to, appreciate, and lay hold of Christ, who is our salvation! ” - Gospel report by preacher Joe Terrell
