The LORD JESUS be magnified for ever!

"But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that H e by the grace of God should taste death for every man." -Hebrews 2:9 [KJV] How wondrous that H e who, as the Son of God, made angels (Colossians 1:16) , should be made inferior to them, and even need and receive their ministering aid and succour (Matthew 4:11) . O the depths of humiliation to which the blessed Redeemer stooped, carrying down into their lowest point that pure, spotless, holy humanity which H e had assumed into union with H is divine Person as the Son of God! And let us ever bear carefully in mind that humiliation is not degradation. Our blessed Lord "humbled H imself" by a voluntary act of surpassing grace; and it was no more in the power of men or circumstances to debase H im of H is glory than of lying witnesses to strip H im of his innocency. The spotless purity of H is sacred humanity, as in union with
Meekness D.G. Miles McKee “The fruit of the Spirit is … meekness.” - Galatians 5:22-23 The word translated "meekness" is associated with gentleness and mildness. What was Jesus like? He was "meek and lowly in heart" (Matthew 11:29) . Though He was Israel's true King, He rode into Jerusalem, "meek, and sitting upon a donkey" (Matthew 21:5) . The apostle Paul speaks of "the meekness and gentleness of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:1) . Jesus Himself pointed to the importance of meekness when He said, "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth" (Matthew 5:5) . Let´s consider then a few matters concerning meekness. To my social media friends, I would say, a meek man will be kind and patient towards those who do not see eye to eye with them. Meekness will remind them that all the truth which they grasp is due, not to themselves, but to Divine coaching. Therefore, their attitude towards those less in

The Blessed Doctrine of Imputation

"Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree." - Galatians 3:13 [KJV] Here Christ stands with all the curse of a broken law charged upon Him, as the sinner's Surety; yea, as the curse itself. And consequently, as in the doing of this, He takes it from His people; they are redeemed from it. The original debtor, and the Surety who pays for that debtor, cannot both have the debt at the same time charged upon them. This, therefore, is the blessed doctrine of imputation. Our sins are imputed to Christ. His righteousness is imputed to us. And this by the authority and appointment of JEHOVAH; for without this authority and appointment of JEHOVAH, the transfer could not have taken place. For it would have been totally beyond our power to have made it. But surely not beyond the right and prerogative of God. And if God accepts such a ransom; yea, He Himself
