“And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.” -Romans 8:10 [KJV] Christ’s righteousness imputed is not only the ground of our justification before God, it is the source and power of our regeneration and conversion (new birth) by the Holy Spirit. Christ resides within His people by His Spirit and His Word, and this is only possible because they are justified legally before God by His grace “through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord”   (Romans 5:21) . " Why weepest thou? Whom seekest thou?" -John 20:15 [KJV] Profession of Christ, without affection to Him, leaves the heart in dead formality. What is religion without the affections? What the highest pretension, the greatest depth of knowledge, without love to our dear Saviour? Omnipotence, Ascribed unto Jesus by D.G. Miles McKee   “He conquered the grave and now lives above, All praise to His name, all power and love. Made righteous in Jesus we someday shall rise, To dwell with our Savior above earth and skies.”   For Christ to be termed as omnipotent means He is all powerful!   Revelation 5:6   “And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.”   Note the number 7 in this verse.  As you know, 7 is the number of divine perfection.  Notice how this divine perfection is the possession of the Lamb. Observe how the Lamb had seven horns. Free-will doctrine teaches that the success of the Father’s eternal election of some unto salvation, the triumph of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit are all dependent upon the will of the sinner.  Such teaching is contrary to Scripture and repulsive to those who have been given an understanding of the gospel of free grace.   Hear the Word of the Lord. “Salvation is of the L ORD ”   (Jonah 2:9c) .  The purpose of the Father to save a chosen multitude cannot be frustrated.  The redemptive work of Jesus Christ by which He satisfied divine justice, finished transgression, put away the sins of His people, made reconciliation for iniquity and brought in everlasting righteousness shall never be a failure.  The quickening power of the Holy Spirit cannot be thwarted or resisted.  He will regenerate dead sinners, grant them repentance from dead works and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.   ...
