God’s Sheep Know God is The LORD!

“ Know ye that the LORD He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we our-selves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture” -P SALM 100:3 [KJV] Worship of God and discipleship to Christ must be intelligent. God’s revelation to the heart overcomes native ignorance and darkened understanding. Revelation leads to truth; then, worship is deeply spiritual [JOHN 4:24 ] . Paul decried his generation for “ being ignorant of God’s righteousness ” [ROMANS 10:3 ] . Replace our darkness with light, we pray. “ Know…the LORD He is God ” – Two principal names for God appear: “ LORD ” is Jehovah and “ God ” is Elohim. The former refers to God’s eternal self-existence; while, the latter refers to God’s unchallenged Almightiness. Jehovah is God in the most complete, exclusive and absolute sense. Knowing God as God is the highest calling of His elect. Obeying God as God is the highest gratitude of His elect. “ Know…He that hath made us ” – Worshipers, that is true believers...

Dwelling in Christ, The LORD our righteousness!

"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." -P SALM 91: 1 [KJV] What is "the secret place of the most High?" It is the same spot, of which Asaph speaks in the seventy-third Psalm—"Until I went into the sanctuary of God, then understood I their end." It is the spot, of which the Lord speaks in Ezekiel—"I will be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come." Then this "secret place" is the secret bosom of God. It is an entrance by faith into Jehovah, by a spiritual manifestation of Him, leading us into a spiritual acquaintance with Him. "The secret place of the most High" is that solemn spot, where Jehovah meets with the sinner in Christ, and where He opens up to him the riches of His mercy, and leads him into His bosom, so as to read the secrets of his loving heart.   It is called a "secret" place, as only known t...

LORD JESUS CHRIST - our High Priest, great Prophet & soon coming KING OF GLORY!

The voice from the cross did not summon men to do, but to be satisfied with what was done: “IT IS FINISHED.” The sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ is the only perfect thing which has ever been presented to God on man’s behalf. “It shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish therein” [ LEVITICUS 22:21 ] . – Scott Richardson (1923-2010 A.D.), pastor in Fairmont, West Virginia, USA Please find enclosed link to audio Gospel sermons: https://www.sermonaudio.com/search.asp?speakeronly=true&currsection=sermonsspeaker&keyword=Scott_Richardson

LORD JESUS CHRIST - our Shield and Deliverer!

“ Lo , I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. ” -M ATTHEW 28:20 [KJV] Christ is ever with His people — as a shield and deliverer. Our estimation of this truth, will be proportioned to our intelligent apprehension of the number and potency of our enemies — and the costliness and preciousness of the treasure thus divinely protected. There are assaults from which Christ alone can shield us! Innumerable and invisible, sleepless and restless, working with an almost almighty power, everywhere with an almost omnipresent existence, ever plotting our ruin — are the spiritual enemies of our soul, and the sworn foes of our faith! The world and its fascinations, Satan and his devices, the flesh and its tendencies, error and its disguises — are all confederate against the child of God, opposing his every advance in holiness! But Christ is our ever-present shield, near at the moment of assault, and skillful to deflect and disarm it! “Fear not, Abram: I ...

AT WAR WITH SIN - AT PEACE IN CHRIST

It is true that I have sin in me, but it is pardoned. God has forgiven me all trespasses. I stand before Him in my Redeemer, Who undertook for me, and I am perfect in Him. The Father chose me in His Son: He looks upon the face of His beloved, and sees me in Him. In Christ He is well pleased, so He is with me! As He loves Christ He loves me! This is the glorious privilege which by faith I now enjoy. I deny sight and sense, and I believe the Word of God! I adhere strictly to the Word of God concerning me, believing myself to be dead indeed unto sin in Christ, and in Him absolutely freed from guilt and condemnation. The Father is at peace with me, and He loves me in His son, with the same love with which He loves Christ His Father and my Father. With this persuasion I go to war with my corruption. They are fighting against everything that is dear and precious to my soul. But having the promised grace of the almighty Savior for my help, I desire to set upon them in His name....

For God's Little Flock In Christ

"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, a nd will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." -II C ORINTHIANS 6:14-18 [KJV] What a mockery is a mere profession of religion which costs a man nothing! There is no more true religion than what is felt, known, and experienced in the soul. Real religion will find its way to the heart, and its effect will be manifest in the life. When ...

IT IS FINISHED!

"The L ORD is my Shepherd; I shall not want." -P SALM 23: 1 [KJV] What a promise! What a glorious inheritance! What a blessed comfort! Walk in it, believer; lie down upon it; trust in it; rest upon it. It will do for all the days of your life and be a soft pillow for your death. When the news is not good, when your body is tired, when disappointment and doubts fill your mind, when the flesh is weary and weak and you lie upon your bed staring into the sleepless darkness asking yourself, "What shall I do?" hum to yourself these blessed words, "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want." Those words will be like a lullaby to your soul, and you will find rest. - Gospel report by preacher Henry Mahan Please find enclosed link to audio Gospel sermons: https://www.sermonaudio.com/search.asp?speakeronly=true&currsection=sermonsspeaker&keyword=Henry_Mahan
