THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST ~ Perfect, Eternal Sacrifice

“But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.” -I John 1:7 [KJV]

 

Oh what good news the gospel of Jesus Christ declares to guilty sinners. We are by birth and nature children of wrath even as others; loving darkness rather than the Light of the truth (John 3:19; Ephesians 2:12). However, by the marvelous power of God through the gospel of Christ (Romans 1:16), God has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love (Colossians 1:13); that we should show forth the praises of Him Who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light (II Corinthians 4:6; I Peter 2:9).

Moreover, the gospel declares unto all that believe the gospel of Christ that the precious blood atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ cleanses and justifies us from all sin (Romans 5:9). Not with the blood of bulls and goats (Hebrews 9:11-12), not with the ceremony and traditions of men (Matthew 15:9), but rather with the glorious blood offering of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself nothing else (Acts 20:28), nothing less (I Corinthians 6:20) and nothing more cleanses us from all sins, iniquities and transgressions (Romans 4:6-8; Hebrews 9:26; I Peter 1:18-20). This includes all original sin, actual sin, sin of omission and sin of commission, ALL sin forever!!

Oh the glory and peace of this perfect sacrifice, that is everlasting, full, complete and satisfying to the Father; that is freely and sovereignly given to a special and chosen people by the Lord (Romans 8:32). We are blessed to possess and enjoy all spiritual blessings through our victorious Lord’s blood atonement (Ephesians 1:3-6; Colossians 2:9-10; I John 4:10).

 We rejoice with Paul and shout from the house top, "Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." -I Corinthians 15:57

THE GREAT TRUMPET BLAST ~ The Joyful Sound!

"The great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come, who were ready to perish." -Isaiah 27:13 [KJV] One trumpet has been blown, at the giving of the law, on mount Sinai: the voice of it sounded long, and waxed louder and louder. It made even Moses to fear and quake exceedingly, and all the people tremble. Light Rising in the Darkness: Take Heart, friends...

"Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness." -Psalm 112:4 [KJV] We often get into such dark paths, that we seem altogether out of the secret, and feel as if there were no more grace in our souls, than in one altogether dead in trespasses and sins.
