Genesis Study ~ Prophecies of our LORD JESUS Christ

Genesis is the book of beginnings. And in this book of beginnings everything speaks of Christ. It is the seed plot to the whole Bible.

Luke 24:27 “And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, He expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself.”

 

Christ is the tree of life in the midst of the garden of God (Genesis 2:9; John 14:6).

 

Christ is the promised Seed of the woman, who crushed the serpent’s head to bring in salvation (Genesis 3:15; Colossians 2:14-15).

 

Christ is the Lamb whose blood was represented in Abel’s sacrifice (Genesis 4:1-8 Hebrews 11:4).

 

Christ is the One whom Enoch believed, by whom he pleased God (Genesis 5:24; Hebrews 11:5).

 

Christ is the ark by which sinners are saved from the flood of God’s wrath (Genesis 6:14; I Thessalonians 1:9-10).

 

Christ is the Seed of promise who came from Abraham’s loins, in whom all the nations of the earth are blessed (Genesis 15:5-6; Galatians 3:8-10, 16).

 

Christ is the Lamb of sacrifice whom God provided to die in the place of Isaac (Genesis 22:1-8-14; John 1:29). 

 

Christ is the ladder Jacob saw, by whom the blessings of God come down to men, and by whom men ascend up to God (Genesis 28:12; Ephesians 1:3-6).

 

Christ is that Priest after the order of Melchezedek, by whom God’s elect are blessed (Genesis 14:18; Hebrews 7:12-22).

 

Christ is our Joseph, ruling over all things, in whom all things are, from whom all things come (Genesis 41:41; Matthew 28:18-20).

 

 

Christ is the Surety portrayed in Judah who was the surety for Benjamin (Genesis 43:9; Hebrews 7:22).

Great Encouragement in Christ JESUS ~ 19 October, 2025 A.D.

"Behold, he prayeth!"   -Acts 9:11 [KJV] In many trades, it is customary to shew samples or patterns. By these men judge of the goodness or quality of the whole. St. Paul sets himself forth as a sample, or pattern, of the free, distinguishing, sovereign, unmerited grace of God, that we should judge of its nature by its efficacy upon him. “I obtained mercy, for this cause, that in me first   (-a first rate sinner) Jesus Christ may shew forth His all long suffering, for a pattern to them who should hereafter believe on Him to life everlasting”   (I Timothy 1:16.) Thou hast seen this pattern of free grace. What dost thou think of it?  The whole is alike with the pattern. It cometh alike upon elect sinners. LORD JESUS, Be Merciful...

" LORD, be merciful to me: heal my soul, for I have sinned against Thee." -Psalm 41:4 [KJV] Is this the language of the man after God’s own heart? Was David a saint when he uttered it? Yes, he was a holy man of God. This confession and prayer shew it. His heart was not hardened through the deceitfulness of sin, nor blinded by self-righteous pride, so as to say, “I have no sin.”   Self-righteous hearts cannot away with this, that all the Lord’s saints are yet in themselves miserable sinners; that they daily see need to confess this; and to sue for mercy and healing from the Lord.
