The LORD Will Beautify His People with Salvation

"Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and His praise in the congregation of saints.  Let Israel rejoice in Him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.  Let them praise His name in the dance: let them sing praises unto Him with the timbrel and harp.  For the LORD taketh pleasure in His people: He will beautify the meek with salvation."  -Psalm 148:1-4 [KJV]

“Salvation Will God Appoint For Walls And Bulwarks” -Isaiah 26:1

What walls and bulwarks are to a fortress, an enclosure of safety, salvation is to the church and people of God. God’s saints, those who are born into His church and kingdom, are kept eternally secure in His salvation. The believer’s safety and security is not his will, his works, his worth, or
even his faith, but God’s salvation. We believe in the infallible security, perseverance, and preservation of every believer because we know that salvation is God’s work alone. 

And we “know that whatsoever God doeth, it shall be forever: nothing can be put to it, nor anything taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him” (Ecclesiastes 3:14). This is our security! Until God’s purpose, Christ’s blood, and the Spirit’s work can be nullified, God’s elect are safe and secure. These are the walls and bulwarks of salvation!

 And that's the Gospel truth.

JESUS - Rock of Ages

Jesus remains the same in all ages. He is the One who is constant when everything and everyone else fails. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever; the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. He is our R ock [I SAMUEL 2:2 ] . In the Old Testament, in Exodus 33, Jesus is pictured as the Cleft Rock. In that chapter, verse 18 and following, Moses desired to see the glory of the Lord, but was told, "You cannot see My face; for there shall no man see My face and live.” And the Lord said, “There is a place by Me, and you shalt stand upon a rock: and it shall come to pass, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by."
