To the LORD JESUS' wounded saints

There has been a winnowing, a fire applied, the loss of all things held dear in the heart, bitter disappointments, a heart and soul crushing. A sorrow that goes beyond words. Many of God's children are brought to utter despair. They see the propriety of the wicked and wonder if they are even sons and daughters of the Most High God. God seems to have turned His back. But He has not forgotten you, nor forsaken you. What you lose in this life, for the sake of Christ (and all things ultimately are for His sake) you will be repaid 100 fold in the life to come. I honestly believe that those true children, most wounded in this life, will shine the brightest in the next. Don't despair, The Lord Himself will arise with healing in His wings. Grace and Peace.   -author unknown

JESUS CHRIST ~ The Savior of Lost Sinners

" But Jesus stooped down, and with His finger wrote on the ground, as though He heard them not." -John 8:6 [KJV]  Note: Friends, also see the prophetic fulfillment of Christ's saying found in Jeremiah 17:13: as it is written, "O L ORD , the hope of Israel, all that forsake Thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from Me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters." Every, the most minute transaction of the life of Christ, should be precious to the faith of our hearts. For in all that He did in life, and by all that He suffered in death, He manifested Himself to be the Saviour of lost sinners. The love of His heart knows no bounds to such. He willingly came to seek, and to save them. It is His joy to find, and His glory to save the lost. O were it not so, the hand that writes must tremble, that holds the pen, drop it with terror, while his heart would be filled with distress, and his soul sink int...

The LORD JESUS be magnified! 06 April, 2024 A.D.

"Christ is to be answerable for ALL those that are given to Him, at THE LAST DAY, and therefore we need not doubt but that He will certainly employ all the power of His Godhead to secure and save all those that He must be accountable for. Christ’s charge and care of these that are given to Him extends even to the very day of their resurrection that He may not so much as lose their dust, but gather it together again, and raise it up in glory to be a proof of His fidelity; for, saith He, “ I shall lose nothing, but raise it up again at the last day ” (John 6:39). -Gospel report by preacher Thomas Brooks (1608-1680 A.D.)

Allelujah, for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth!

" Thy God reigneth." -Isaiah 52:7 [KJV] Christ commissions His ministers, to proclaim this joyful true to Zion, His church, that every member of His might receive it in faith, change the pronoun and say, My God reigneth. Christ’s reign is His people’s glory, their triumph on earth; and the shouts of disembodied saints in glory. Listen to their acclamations of joy. “Allelujah, for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth, let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb is come” Revelation 19:6, 7 .  Are we married to the Lamb? Has He our hearts and affections? Then we shall constantly rejoice, and give honor to Him, that He, Who is our God, reigneth. Where? Where He dwells. In heaven for us: and in our hearts over us. For, as He dwells in our hearts by faith, He spiritually reigns over all within us. O what matter of joy and consolation is this!  For (1st.) If our King has set up His throne in our hearts, what enemy can hurt us? They m...

COME TO CHRIST JESUS & your souls shall live...

" Incline your ear, and come unto Me: hear, and your souls shall live." -Isaiah 55:3 [KJV] Some cannot bear exhortations to be used, either to saints or sinners. O, dear! they sound so legal in their ears, they are quite disgusted with them. But why? Truly, such are wise above what is written; and they proclaim their folly in condemning the conduct of Christ, and His Spirit in the prophets and apostles. They have most need of exhortations, who see least cause for them: be not high-minded, but fear.  A Chinese philosopher asserted, that a man had three ears: one differed from those two which are seen. This was counted a great absurdity. But it holds true in a spiritual sense; for naturally we have ears, but hear not. “The hearing ear, the Lord hath made” (Proverbs 20:12.) This Christ calls for: “Incline your ear.” Act as sentenced rebels and condemned malefactors; be all ear to a sound of mercy, and a proclamation of a reprieve, from Me. Though your hearts are ...

NONE ELSE BUT CHRIST JESUS ALONE

"Look unto Me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else"     - Jesus Christ, the LORD our righteousness (see Isaiah 45:21-24) Salvation is wholly of grace, not only undeserved but undesired by us until God is pleased to awaken us to a sense of our need of it. And then we find everything prepared that our wants require or our wishes conceive; yea, that He has done exceedingly beyond what we could either ask or think. Salvation is wholly of the Lord and bears those signatures of infinite wisdom, power, and goodness which distinguish all His works from the puny imitations of men. It is every way worthy of Himself, a great, a free, a full, a sure salvation. It is great whether we consider the objects ( miserable, hell-deserving sinners ), the end ( the restoration of such alienated creatures to His image and favor, to immortal life and happiness ) or the means ( the incarnation, humiliation, sufferings and death of His beloved Son...

God's people forake this evil world ~ Psalm 118:8-9 [KJV]

"By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king." -Hebrews 11:27 [KJV] Here we see faith opposed by fear, and the victory of faith over the dread of wrath. Consider his work and his danger; his faith and his safety.  (1st.) Moses was engaged in a great work. He was to go to Pharaoh, and say from the Lord, “Israel is My son, even My first-born son: let him go, that he may serve Me” (Exodus 4:23.) Now, might not the king very naturally look upon Moses as a very dangerous, pestilent, hot-headed enthusiast, who, under a pretence of religion, wanted to raise a rebellion in his kingdom? He had to fear, that the king might put him to death in his wrath. “For the wrath of a king is as the roaring of a lion” (Proverbs 19:12.) Most terribly fierce!  But, (2d.) consider his faith. This set him above fear: he bids defiance to wrath. Forsake Egypt, he must; flee from the king, he was determined: for he had the command of his God for it. Faith is the parent o...
