My Righteousness & Redemption! JESUS Christ Himself...

"Of old hast Thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of Thy hands.  They shall perish, but Thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt Thou change them, and they shall be changed:  but Thou art the same, and Thy years shall have no end."  -Psalm 102:25-27 [KJV]

    The mere knowledge of facts about the Bible, and even about the person and work of Christ, will not save us unless that knowledge leads us to really and truly TRUST OUR SOULS IN THE BLESSED REDEEMER'S HANDS. 

 

Faith must act in this fashion: "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He came to save sinners; and therefore, as a sinner, I rest my­self on Him. I know that His righteousness and blood justify the ungodly; therefore, I trust Him to be both my righteousness and my redemption before God."

 

"And, if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." -I John 2:1 

 

This scripture declares that at all times, under all conditions, Jesus Christ is our righteousness, our sanctification, our Advocate, and our redemption. So, when I sin, when I consider my past or present and come creeping to my closet with a guilty con­science and an aching heart, I can rejoice in the mercy of my Father; for I have an Advocate—JESUS CHRIST THE RIGHTEOUS!

"...be not conformed to this world." -Romans 12:2 [KJV] In proportion as we are conformed to the spirit of this world our understanding becomes dull in the things of God, our affections cold and torpid, and our consciences less tender and sensitive.
