WE PREACH CHRIST CRUCIFIED ~ I Corinthians 1:23 KJV

    To preach “Christ crucified” is to preach the accomplishment of our redemption by the obedience unto death of the Lord Jesus Christ Who is none other than “GOD WITH US” (Matthew 1:21,23). It is to preach His death as the establishment of the only righteousness whereby God justifies the ungodly as confirmed by His resurrection 
from the dead. It is to preach Christ’s righteousness imputed (-legally accounted and charged) to us as the only ground of our justification before God. It is to preach spiritual life imparted by the Holy Spirit as the fruit of our justification before God. 

God making His elect “the righteousness of God in HIM” (II Corinthians 5:21) in their justification guarantees and secures, as set forth by Christ’s resurrection from the dead, that His people, all for whom He died, will be resurrected from the dead, first in regeneration and then in final glorification. To preach “Christ crucified” is to preach both our justification by His righteousness imputed and our regeneration by His life imparted. Both are necessary for the salvation of His people; both are all of His free and sovereign grace; and both should be preached and emphasized in a true Gospel ministry. To preach “Christ crucified” is to preach our redemption from sin by His blood and our regeneration from death by His life.

Great Encouragement in Christ JESUS ~ 19 October, 2025 A.D.

"Behold, he prayeth!"   -Acts 9:11 [KJV] In many trades, it is customary to shew samples or patterns. By these men judge of the goodness or quality of the whole. St. Paul sets himself forth as a sample, or pattern, of the free, distinguishing, sovereign, unmerited grace of God, that we should judge of its nature by its efficacy upon him. “I obtained mercy, for this cause, that in me first   (-a first rate sinner) Jesus Christ may shew forth His all long suffering, for a pattern to them who should hereafter believe on Him to life everlasting”   (I Timothy 1:16.) Thou hast seen this pattern of free grace. What dost thou think of it?  The whole is alike with the pattern. It cometh alike upon elect sinners. "...be not conformed to this world." -Romans 12:2 [KJV] In proportion as we are conformed to the spirit of this world our understanding becomes dull in the things of God, our affections cold and torpid, and our consciences less tender and sensitive.
