Send Me
Brethren, let us join to bless
Christ our Peace and Righteousness
Let our praise to Him be given
High at God’s right hand in Heaven.
Son of God, to Thee we bow
Thou art Lord, and only Thou
Thou the woman’s promised seed
Thou, who didst for sinners bleed.
Thee the angels ceaseless sing
Thee we praise, our Priest and King
Worthy is Thy Name of praise
Full of glory, full of grace.
Thou has the glad tidings brought
Of salvation fully wrought
Wrought, O Lord alone by Thee
Wrought, to set Thy people free.
Thee, our Lord, would we adore
Serve and follow more and more
Praise and bless Thy matchless love
Till we join Thy saints above.
-Gospel hymn: “Take My Life and Let It Be”
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” -Isaiah 6:8 [KJV]
The Lord had already enabled Isaiah to see who He was! Seated on a Throne, High and lifted up, with the cry of the of the seraphim being, “Holy, Holy, Holy” (Isaiah 6:1-4). He had given Isaiah a sight of who He was and Isaiah replied, “Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone.” He then heard the Gospel message from the live coal off the altar. “Thine iniquity is taken away and thy sin purged,” (Isaiah 6:6-7). Then God said concerning the delivery of the message, “Whom shall I send and who will go for Us.” The man that delivers this message must first be sent of God. And he must also be a volunteer! Isaiah’s answer? “Here am I, send me.” There is no salvation to anyone apart from the hearing and believing the true Gospel message, as is stated in Isaiah 6. Then He says, “Whom shall I send and who will go for Us.” I pray the reply of every one of us is, “Here am I; send me.”
