The LORD Speaks Excellent Things

    Don’t you get tired of hearing politicians on TV telling lies and misrepresenting themselves and their opponents just to get elected? Listen to the words of Christ as He is revealed here to be Wisdom personified –
 

“Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of My lips shall be right things. For My mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to My lips. All the words of My mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them. They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.” (Proverbs 8:6-9) 

We can be assured that every word that HE speaks is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth! His words are excellent and right. His words are truth and righteousness. His words are plain and simple to all whom He has given knowledge. And this is especially true in His words of salvation by His free and sovereign grace for sinners whom God has chosen, loved, and adopted into His family. The way God justifies the ungodly is a right and just way as it is based on Christ doing the work of a Surety, 
having the sins of God’s elect imputed to Him, coming in time to this earth and uniting with sinless humanity, keeping the law perfectly and suffering unto death, even the death of the cross to accomplish perfect righteousness which God has imputed to His people and has justified them to the praise of the glory of His grace. 

So, even as He saves sinners, who by nature and practice deserve nothing but condemnation and death, He does no wrong, no injustice. It is all right and good, and just! Praise the Lord for being both a just God AND a Savior. Does this not give us ample reason to hear and heed His Word? He speaks excellent things to His people.

Light Rising in the Darkness: Take Heart, friends...

"Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness." -Psalm 112:4 [KJV] We often get into such dark paths, that we seem altogether out of the secret, and feel as if there were no more grace in our souls, than in one altogether dead in trespasses and sins. THE GREAT TRUMPET BLAST ~ The Joyful Sound!

"The great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come, who were ready to perish." -Isaiah 27:13 [KJV] One trumpet has been blown, at the giving of the law, on mount Sinai: the voice of it sounded long, and waxed louder and louder. It made even Moses to fear and quake exceedingly, and all the people tremble. Soon, very soon, (who knows but it may be the next moment, in the twinkling of an eye?) the last trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised (I Corinthians 15:52.)   Tremendous voice! most solemn sound! The prophet asks, “Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid?” (Amos. 3:6.)
