The Word of God is an Unstoppable Force

 

Thy works, not mine, O Christ

Speak gladness to this heart

They tell me all the Word is done

They bid my fear depart.


Thy cross, not mine, O Christ 

Has borne the awful load

Of sins that no one else could bear

But our incarnate God.


Thy death, not mine, O Christ

Has paid the ransom due

Ten thousand, thousand deaths like mine

Would have been all too few.


Thy righteousness, O Christ

Alone can cover me

No righteousness can satisfy

Save that which is of Thee!

THE WORD OF GOD IS NOT BOUND

 

Paul said that because of his preaching of the Gospel, “Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound” (II Timothy 2:9).  No matter how adverse circumstances may be, the Word of God is never bound.  The Word of God cannot be bound.  “So shall My Word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11).   

 

The Word of God, the Scripture message, is an unstoppable force.  Though the men who bring the Word may be hindered for myriad reasons, the Word cannot be hindered. No one and no thing can prevent it from accomplishing what the Lord purposed it to accomplish.  Therefore, preach the Word, and Preach the Word.  Nothing can stop the Truth!

Great Encouragement in Christ JESUS ~ 19 October, 2025 A.D.

"Behold, he prayeth!"   -Acts 9:11 [KJV] In many trades, it is customary to shew samples or patterns. By these men judge of the goodness or quality of the whole. St. Paul sets himself forth as a sample, or pattern, of the free, distinguishing, sovereign, unmerited grace of God, that we should judge of its nature by its efficacy upon him. “I obtained mercy, for this cause, that in me first   (-a first rate sinner) Jesus Christ may shew forth His all long suffering, for a pattern to them who should hereafter believe on Him to life everlasting”   (I Timothy 1:16.) LORD JESUS, Be Merciful...

" LORD, be merciful to me: heal my soul, for I have sinned against Thee." -Psalm 41:4 [KJV] Is this the language of the man after God’s own heart? Was David a saint when he uttered it? Yes, he was a holy man of God. This confession and prayer shew it.
