CHRIST PUT AWAY THE SINS OF HIS PEOPLE
The
Name of Jesus is so sweet,
‘Tis music to our ears;
For He alone could save our souls,
And drive away our fears.
The Lord of glory long ago,
Came to this world of woe;
To save the chosen of the Lord,
And pay the debt we owe.
Here is a wondrous mystery,
That God the Savior came;
And gave Himself the sacrifice,
To save us from our shame.
O what a great Redeemer this,
Whose blood atonement made;
Our guilt in all its blackest hue,
Was on the Savior laid.
For us Christ died upon the cross,
And wrath divine He bore;
The risen Savior ever reigns,
We’re safe forevermore.
So sing, "All glory to the Lamb,"
Whose face we soon shall see;
Then satisfied we all shall be,
Throughout eternity.
‘Tis music to our ears;
For He alone could save our souls,
And drive away our fears.
The Lord of glory long ago,
Came to this world of woe;
To save the chosen of the Lord,
And pay the debt we owe.
Here is a wondrous mystery,
That God the Savior came;
And gave Himself the sacrifice,
To save us from our shame.
O what a great Redeemer this,
Whose blood atonement made;
Our guilt in all its blackest hue,
Was on the Savior laid.
For us Christ died upon the cross,
And wrath divine He bore;
The risen Savior ever reigns,
We’re safe forevermore.
So sing, "All glory to the Lamb,"
Whose face we soon shall see;
Then satisfied we all shall be,
Throughout eternity.
