Preaching Christ



Every sermon sent by God Almighty through His means of revelation to His people, the preaching of the Gospel, finds Christ Jesus as its only subject. Only in rightly hearing of Him does a redeemed and regenerated sinner find comfort for his soul. If the Scriptures are preached aright, according to the word of the Lord to two on the road to Emmaus [Luke ch. 24] beginning at Moses and all the prophets, the message will set forth His glory, His work, and His honor….in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself will be the only declaration.

 I want to share three lies about God I’ve recently seen tossed about on social media as truth by professed believers: (1) God can move in your life.......if you permit Him. (2) Christ can be Lord.......if you confess Him. (3) God can do anything ........except overcome a man’s will. Friends, if God doesn’t even have sovereignty over the human heart (without being granted permission, of course) who is serving who? Who really has all power in this universe?
