Never Ashamed

"For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed." -Romans 10:11 [KJV] The holy, inerrant Word of God tells us that no one who believes on Christ will be ashamed in the day of judgment . No one who believes on Christ will ever be ashamed to stand before God. There can be no shame for the believer because the Lord Jesus Christ our Substitute bore all of our guilt and shame away when He was made sin and died on the cross at the hand of God's justice. If by God's grace I have been made just like Christ, what do I have to be ashamed of? Nothing! -copied

GOOD NEWS!

Weekend Gospel message to follow for All Hands ( 05-07MAR 21) Heads-Up --- Please find enclosed encouragement in  SO GREAT SALVATION  by the perfect and finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ in saving poor, needy and wretched sinners by His sovereign free grace - God's unmerited favor - from their sins and from Hell: The glorious good news of the Gospel is that, "It is finished." Justice has been satisfied, righteousness has been established. The believer rests exclusively in a finished work. On the other hand, the religious moralist strives daily under a crushing weight of duties and expectations, looking to a future judgment on his performance, where he may, or may not be rewarded. For the believer, this judgment occurred at the cross and there is no possibility of future condemnation. The believer is counted by God to be the very righteousness of God in Christ (II Corinthians 5:21). Therefore, the believer is a joint-heir with Christ and shall inherit all things ...

Encouragement in Christ JESUS ~ Captain of our Salvation

" ...Faint, yet pursuing ." -Judges 8:4 [KJV]   Surely what is said here concerning the little army of Gideon, suits my case exactly. I know that in Jesus the victory is certain; but I know also, that I shall have battlings all the way. From the moment that the Lord called me out of darkness into His marvellous light, my whole life hath been but a state of warfare; and! feel what Paul felt, and groan as he groaned, under a body of sin and death; "as sorrowful, yet rejoicing; as dying, but behold I live; as chastened, and not killed." Truly I am faint, under the many heavy assaults I have sustained; and yet, through grace, pursuing as if I had met with no difficulty.   Yes, blessed Jesus; I know that there can be no truce in this war; and looking unto Thee, I pray to be found faithful unto death, that no man may take my crown. But, dearest Lord! Thou seest my day of small things; Ihou beholdest how faint I am. Thou seest also, how the enemy assaults me! and-how ...

THE LOVE OF CHRIST

"That ye may be able to comprehend with all saints, what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge."   -Ephesians 3:18, 19  [KJV]   Did Paul pray that the church might be thus blessed? So should all faithful pastors. And there is enough in Jesus to call up the everlasting contemplation of His people. All the dimensions of divine glory are in Jesus. Who, indeed, shall describe the extent of that love which passeth knowledge? But, my soul, pause over the account. What is the breadth of it? Jesus's death reaches in efficacy to all His seed—all His children: to thee, my soul; for thou art the seed of Jesus. And though that death took place at Jerusalem near two thousand years since, yet the efficacy of His blood, as from an high altar, as effectually washes away sin now, as in the moment it was shed.       Remember, Jesus still wears the vesture dipped in blood. Remember, Jesus still appears as th...

Where is your righteousness?

One day as I was passing into a field, this sentence fell upon my soul – “Thy righteousness is in heaven.” And with the eyes of my soul I saw Jesus at the Father’s right hand. “There,” I said, “is my righteousness!” So that wherever I was or whatever I was doing, God could not say to me, “Where is your righteousness?” For it is always before Him. I saw that it is not my good frame of heart that made my righteousness better, nor yet my bad frame that made my righteousness worse, for my righteousness IS Christ. My chains fell off indeed. My temptations fled away, and I lived sweetly at peace with God. Now I could look from myself to Him and could reckon that all my character was like the coins a rich man carries in his pocket when all his gold is safe in a trunk at home. I saw that my gold was indeed in a trunk at home in Christ my Lord. Now, Christ was all my righteousness, sanctification, redemption. -excerpt from “Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners,” by preacher John Bunyan

The Wednesday Word

A Few Gospel Mercies Part 1 by preacher D G Miles McKee   Romans 12:1 ……..  “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the  mercies of God , that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,  which is  your reasonable service.” What are these mercies? The mercies of God are wonderful truths related to the gospel!  Would you like to enjoy victorious Christian living?  It is found as a result of believing and applying the mercies of the gospel. For the believer, true guilt free, victorious living can only be realized through continual exposure to the gospel and its truths. There are no techniques or formulas for spiritual victory. True victorious living comes from beholding Christ alone. Far from being merely for the unsaved, the gospel is the essential message for every believer (Romans 1:5). Alas, in this day and age of formulas and the quick fix, this truth is missing from many of our pulpits. However, a...

Saved with an Everlasting Salvation

THE GLORIOUS GOSPEL "The Gospel of God gloriously declares the Father to have eternally purposed, in Christ, to show mercy to His people in electing grace.  It gloriously declares the Lord Jesus to have procured, by His precious life and death, the redemption and salvation of all that the Father gave Him in that electing grace, and gloriously reveals the Surety and application of all Christ procured, for His people, by the Holy Spirit."                                                                             -preacher Marvin Stalnaker
