What, were all the souls of the redeemed charged equally alike in the account of God? Did God thy Father rate them thus? And did Jesus, thy precious Jesus, purchase all His redeemed with an equal price , when He bought them with His blood? If this be so, my soul, it must follow, that thou, a poor unworthy creature as thou art, overlooked as thou art by the great ones of the earth, and too frequently overlooked in thyself how precious every redeemed soul must be in Jesus's sight, cost as much to Jesus as the soul of Peter, or of Paul, or of any of the patriarchs, apostles, or prophets.       Oh, think of this; write it down in the tablets of thy remembrance. ...

Miles McKee 1 Corinthians 15:1-4   What is the gospel?  The simple answer is, the gospel is the person, doing, dying and rising again of the Lord Christ.  He, Himself, is God’s good news from Heaven.  Since the gospel is about Him it is, therefore, not about you and not about me. It is about Jesus. This is Gospel Truth! The gospel, among other things, reveals God’s purpose, accomplished by Christ, for the recovery of sinful people from the deplorable state into, which they had fallen (Luke 19:10; Matthew 1:21). This is Gospel Truth! The gospel tells of how God came to this earth in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was not an impersonation of God, He was, in fact, God manifest in the flesh (1 Timothy 3:16). This is Gospel Truth! As a man, He obeyed God’s laws and requirements on our behalf. " Any religion, which claims that salvation depends upon man to make a decision to accept salvation, is preaching a god who cannot save and they are not preaching man as he is either. Scripture declares God to be sovereign, doing His good will without ever consulting man, saving whom He will, when He will (Daniel 4:35, Romans 9:15). Scripture also declares man to be incapable of deciding to do anything holy or right because all men died spiritually when Adam fell (Romans 4:12). Dead men cannot decide to do anything because they are dead. The only thing a dead man can do is stink. So if scripture is true, man is completely dependent on God to save us. Man is the one who is waiting on God not the other way around. "So then, it is not of him that willeth, or of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy" (Romans 8:16). -copied
