When Moses had set up all the furnishings within the tabernacle and hung the curtain at the court gate, Exodus 40:33-35 says, "So Moses finished the work. Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.  And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle." Moses, a mediator appointed by God for Himself and the people, pictured Christ and the work of redemption that He accomplished on the cross. The Lord assured him and every believer who dies in faith; they will be with the Lord forever in paradise. Where is paradise? To be with the Lord! Wherever He is that will be paradise, eternal glory and eternal rest with HIM forever and ever (2 Cor. 5:8; Phil. 1:21; Rev. 14:13) . This dying, believing and repentant thief rejoiced in that day in the salvation of his soul; in the forgiveness of all his sins (Eph. 1:7) and righteousness imputed to him by free grace (Rom. 3:24; 4:6). Meekness D.G. Miles McKee “The fruit of the Spirit is … meekness.” - Galatians 5:22-23 The word translated "meekness" is associated with gentleness and mildness. What was Jesus like? He was "meek and lowly in heart" (Matthew 11:29) . Though He was Israel's true King, He rode into Jerusalem, "meek, and sitting upon a donkey" (Matthew 21:5) . The apostle Paul speaks of "the meekness and gentleness of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:1) . Jesus Himself pointed to the importance of meekness when He said, "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth" (Matthew 5:5) . Let´s consider then a few matters concerning meekness. The world has no idea of riches but such as consist in gold and silver, in houses, lands, or other tangible property; no thought of honour, but such as man has to bestow; and no notion of comfort, except in "fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind."
