JUST AND JUSTIFIER
"Being
justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in
Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through
faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of
sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
to
declare, I say, at this time His righteousness: that He might be
just, and the Justifier of him which believeth in Jesus."
-Romans
3:24-26 [KJV]
God’s
infinite holiness can accept nothing less than perfection, and His
inflexible justice is sworn to punish every sin and violation of His
holy law. Therefore, if His love is dedicated to deliver a single
soul, it must be in a manner that does no dishonor to His holiness
and justice. This can ONLY be accomplished if there is One who is
equal to God’s infinite holiness and justice and capable of dying
the death that the sins of those deserve whom God loves. God alone
can satisfy His justice, but He cannot die. Man can die, but he
cannot satisfy God’s justice. THE
GOD-MAN, the LORD JESUS CHRIST ALONE, IS EQUAL TO BOTH TASKS!
