GOD SHOW THYSELF!

"With the merciful Thou wilt shew Thyself merciful; with an upright man Thou wilt show Thyself upright; with the pure thou wilt shew Thyself pure." -Psalm 18:25-26 [KJV]

From eternity, Christ became Surety of His people because He is the Merciful Man. He assumed our nature to bear our sin so that justice and mercy harmonize because He is the Upright Man. In order to be the last Adam, the only other man to begin life without sin that He might represent His people, He was born of a virgin declaring He is the Pure Man.

No mercy could be given Christ while He suffered the wrath of divine justice in place of His people. But satisfaction being made, redemption accomplished, God the Father raised Him from the dead to His right hand along with all His people who He shall call to Himself. Therefore, in God the Father's work toward Christ His Son and in Christ's work making us merciful, upright and pure in Him, we see, "With the merciful Thou wilt shew Thyself merciful; with an upright man Thou wilt show Thyself upright; with the pure Thou wilt shew Thyself pure."

God ordained Authority: Doctrine of the Lesser Magistrate

The Lesser Magistrate Doctrine  teaches that when the superior or higher ranking civil authority makes unjust/immoral law, policy, or court opinion – the lower or lesser ranking civil authority has both the God-given right  and duty  to refuse obedience to that superior authority; and if necessary, actively resist the superior authority. The doctrine was first formalized by Christian men in Magdeburg, Germany in 1550.  The lesser magistrate doctrine is rooted in the historic Christian doctrine of interposition.  Interposition   is where one steps into the gap – placing themselves in between the oppressor and his intended victim. Interposition can take place verbally or physically.  The law of God is the objective standard to which all men and all governments of men are accountable.
