The Wednesday Word ~ 03 September, 2025 A.D.

It Is Finished! Part I by D G Miles McKee   John 19:30 … It is Finished. These are the dying words of our Savior! What powerful and important words they are. It is reported that when Queen Elizabeth I of England lay dying she said, “My God, my God it is over.  I have come to the end!" In her wardrobe she had 2,000 costly dresses and gowns yet she called out, “All my possessions for just one more day.” Pathetic words of a dying Queen.  How wonderful then by contrast are the words of the dying Saviour who declares from the cross … IT IS FINISHED! That means, Salvation has been   completed. Salvation has been accomplished.    Salvation has been perfected. It is finished!   Notice how at Christ´s final moments there is not a hint of worry, anxiety or despair.  How unlike the words of the dying English Queen who says, “My God My God it is over, I have come to the end.” Consider how Christ’s words “It is Finished” are filled with glorious victo...

Great Encouragement in Christ JESUS ~ 03 September, 2025 A.D.

"And he sought where to weep." -Genesis 43:30 [KJV] To weep! What! when he saw his beloved brother Benjamin, and heard that his affectionate aged father was alive and well! Yes: the sight of the one, and the news of the other, created such an ecstasy of joy in his heart, as was too great to bear. He sought where to vent it by tears.  O, had one followed good Joseph to his chamber, and heard what passed there between his God and his soul! Methinks I see the dear man fall prostrate, crying out in a flood of grateful, joyful tears, O, what a God do I serve! What amazing scenes of His providence have opened to my view! How has the Lord appeared graciously in my behalf! how strangely has He exalted me in life! and now, to crown all, and complete my happiness, I see my beloved brother, and hear of the welfare of my honoured father.  Doubtless he wept, he prayed; he praised, he rejoiced, he loved, he adored his God, his kind preserver, his bountiful benefactor, his d...

Wisdom, Righteousness, Sanctification & Redemption in Christ JESUS the LORD

"Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might; let not the rich man glory in his riches; but let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth Me, that I am the LORD."   -Jeremiah 9:23, 24 [KJV] And didst thou, my poor, proud, vain, sinful heart, after so much as hath been said to thee of Jesus, and so much as thou hast been feelingly taught thy want of Jesus, didst thou need this precept? Oh yes, my soul; every day it had need be sounded in thy ears, and wrote over again by the Holy Ghost upon thine heart. Now it is, Lord Jesus, I learn from hence why Thou art so suited to a poor convinced sinner. Thou, and Thou only, art the LORD our righteousness : and therefore let those that know not their own worthlessness, nor Thy glory, boast in what they may; let others talk of what they will, I see plain enough there’s nothing out of Thee for a poor soul to rejoice in. The wise men hath no wisdom, but in ...

Fellowship with Almighty God ~ True Divine Religion

"GOD IS FAITHFUL, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord." -I Corinthians 1:9 [KJV] Nothing distinguishes the divine religion of the saint of God , not only from the dead profanity of the openly ungodly, but from the formal lip-service of the lifeless professor, so much as communion with God.   How clearly do we see this exemplified in the saints of old. Abel sought after fellowship with God when "he brought of the firstlings of his flock, and of the fat thereof," for he looked to the atoning blood of the Lamb of God. God accepted the offering, and "testified of his gifts" by manifesting His divine approbation. Here was fellowship between Abel and God. Enoch "walked with God;" but how can two walk together except they be agreed ? (see Amos 3:3) And if agreed, they are in fellowship and communion.  Abraham was "the friend of God;" "The LORD spake to Moses face to face;" Dav...
