Full Pardon

“ If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” - I JOHN 1:9 [KJV]   “He is faithful and just.” Oh, what a word is that! There is scarcely to my mind such a word in the Bible as that; so great, so glorious, so comforting: “He is faithful and just.” “Just” say you, “why I know that God’s mercy and God’s grace can pardon sinners; but how can God be just, and pardon transgressors? Does not God’s justice demand the punishment of sin? Does not God's justice blaze forth in eternal lightnings against the soul that transgresses H is holy law? How, then, can it be true, that God can be just, and yet forgive a confessing sinner?" But it is true, divinely True, blessedly, eternally true. And in it is locked up that grand mystery of redemption by the blood and obedience of God's co-equal Son. It is locked up in this one word— "just." "But how?" it may be asked. In this way

No doubt about it!

I try diligently to preach God as He is to sinners as they are, and to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ as the only Mediator between a holy God and sinful men, the all glorious, all sufficient Saviour. I try my best to preach to men and women: 1. A God they cannot satisfy. 2. A holy law they cannot keep. 3. An obedience they cannot render. 4. A righteousness they cannot produce. 5. A love they cannot give. 6. A sinfulness they cannot get rid of. 7. A just judgment they cannot endure. 8. A required repentance they cannot produce. 9. A saving faith that can only be obtained as a free gift of God. 10. BUT, a Christ who fully satisfied God for sinners, both law and justice. Sinners need only to hug up to Him, trust Him, and all will be well with their souls. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. No doubt about it. - Gospel report by preacher Maurice Montgomery

GOD SAVES GREAT SINNERS

Because God will have all the glory of our salvation, He saves the worst among us. How bad are you? Paul said he persecuted the church, but he found mercy. How low have you sunk? Did you help slay Him on that tree? Remember this: God saves great sinners. He saves the chief of sinners. "He is able to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him" [HEBREWS 7:25 ] . If you do not find salvation in Christ it will be because you look for it elsewhere. If you perish without being saved through the blood of Christ, it will not be because of a lack of power in that blood, but because you will not look to Him alone. -Gospel report by preacher Milton Howard
