Things That Promote Peace

“ Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.” -ROMANS 14:19 [KJV] 1. Be careful to LOVE one another with a true heart. “for charity (love) shall cover the multitude of sins.” 2. Avoid a spirit of ARGUMENT AND DEBATE. One may win an argument and lose a friend. 3. Beware of JEALOUSY. Jealousy destroys happiness and builds suspicion. 4. Beware of ENVY. Let us learn to rejoice in another’s gifts, blessings, and happiness. God gives as HE will! 5. Do not MEDDLE in the private lives and domestic affairs of others. 6. Guard against a TOUCHY TEMPER: “For every trifling thing to take offense shows either great pride or little sense.” 7. As man He suffered, as man He bled, as man He died, as man He stands a Mediator for His fellow men between God and man; as man, He has for human distress an affectionate, compassionate, sympathising heart; as man, He obeyed the law in every particular; as man, He bore all the sufferings of human

SENDING ABROAD PRAISE UNTO KING JESUS

Is there a sinner here below, Who looks to God above? And as the object of His grace, Can sing redeeming love? Is there a soul from sin set free, Now broken and contrite; Who from a heart now thankful made, Can praise our God aright? Is there a tongue which once was filled, With every word so vile; That now can speak Jehovah’s praise, Before His gracious smile? Are there not many in our midst, Made clean by Jesus’ blood; Then lift each voice and send abroad, God’s praises like a flood! Tune – “O For a Thousand Tongues” – p. 46 Words by preacher Gary Shepard
