“PASSED FROM DEATH UNTO LIFE” -John 5:24

“ Did the Spirit of God ever convince you of sin? Do you see yourself liable to the curse of the law, and the just vengeance of God, for the innate depravity of your nature, and the transgressions of your life? Do you come to Christ humbled and self-condemned; sensible that unless you are clothed with the merits of Him our Elder Brother, you are ruined and undone, and can never stand with joy or safety before the holy Lord God? You may be harassed by the thoughts of death, and be in bondage through the fears of death; and you may be saying, "How will it be with me then?" I will tell you. If you are a child of God, I firmly believe you will not be removed unwillingly and reluctantly, but you will be willing in the day of the Lord's power. You will be willing to breathe out your soul into His dear hands, to whom you w

The sentence of death has been written on the flesh; but the believer is in possession of a new life, in union with his risen Head in glory. What rest - perfect rest - for the heart and conscience is here! What full relief for the bur
