But when salvation is made to be no more than something the sinner does for himself, it is not surprising. Where is the wonder in a salvation that consists in nothing more than walking an aisle, repeating the sinner's prayer, and making my decision? That does not require the grace or the power of God. One who is born of God has the Lord as his por­tion and inheritance (Romans 8:17) . He is thankful for who He is and what he has; for in Christ he has " all things " that are worth having.
