What Will Happen in the Days Ahead? Take Heart, Saved Sinners

Our Steps are Ordered of the LORD

The question is, What will happen in the days to come? And the answer being, Everything the LORD has wisely decreed in His eternal purpose for us to experience (friends see, Romans 11:36 & Ephesians 1:11).  
 
The Lord gave David these words in Psalm 37:23, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in His way.” Our Lord Jesus Christ told His disciples in their day; “These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).  

The apostle Paul declares that every believer has won the victory of salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ forever; “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (I Corinthians 15:57).  

We can be assured by the word of our blessed God and Saviour; that every promise of God will be fulfilled (see Joshua 23:14 and II Peter 1:3-4); that our gracious Lord will provide for our every need (see Philippians 4:19); that He will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews13:5-6).  

As the old writers used to express it; “The Lord will give us all grace now and glory forever. We don’t know what the future holds but we know Who holds the future.” It is written in Psalm 31:15, "My times are in Thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me."

LORD JESUS, Be Merciful...

" LORD, be merciful to me: heal my soul, for I have sinned against Thee." -Psalm 41:4 [KJV] Is this the language of the man after God’s own heart? Was David a saint when he uttered it? Yes, he was a holy man of God. This confession and prayer shew it. Great Encouragement in Christ JESUS ~ 19 October, 2025 A.D.

"Behold, he prayeth!"   -Acts 9:11 [KJV] In many trades, it is customary to shew samples or patterns. By these men judge of the goodness or quality of the whole. St. Paul sets himself forth as a sample, or pattern, of the free, distinguishing, sovereign, unmerited grace of God, that we should judge of its nature by its efficacy upon him. “I obtained mercy, for this cause, that in me first   (-a first rate sinner) Jesus Christ may shew forth His all long suffering, for a pattern to them who should hereafter believe on Him to life everlasting”   (I Timothy 1:16.) Thou hast seen this pattern of free grace. What dost thou think of it?  The whole is alike with the pattern. It cometh alike upon elect sinners.
